The Legend of Tarzan (2016)
Son of Man, a man in time you'll be (c)
I can characterize this movie as a pretty typical adventure film. There was too much CGI for me in showing the nature, animals and movements on the vines – as for the rest the visual aspect it was OK.
I can actually say neither super bad nor anything good about the actors' play, except for Christoph Waltz who was pretty good as always although he did not seem showing us anything new and fresh that we hadn't seen in his previous roles. Samuel L. Jackson plays an ardent fighter against slavery and racial prejudice, but the script itself doesn't depict this hero clearly and profoundly, and therefore his character does not cause much delight.
In general, there're two main things that make me give the film only 6 points. Firstly, all the characters are poorly depicted from the very beginning. And secondly, the movie that can be called a continuation of the famous Disney animated cartoon could have had some sharper humour in my opinion.
For me personally – this film is to be watched only once.
W ciemnosci (2011)
"As if we need God to punish each other" (c)
Of course it is not a new "Schindler's List" as the protagonist is of a much smaller dedication in my opinion. This is not like "The Pianist", since the movie does not have the talent of Adrien Brody. I believe a lot of people including myself understand that it is not a GREAT movie.
But still it's full of emotions, regrets, memories that many of us don't want to accept actually. I am absolutely convinced that the military drama must keep some traces (conclusions) in reasonable people's minds. If a trace wasn't left, then, the filming team did not cope with the task. No doubts this film did cope. So the conclusion is pretty simple: it is not a great but a GOOD military drama about Poland, Nazis, genocide, horror, dignity and of course love.
I usually say about on-war movies that it is necessary to watch them, to remember and to be desperately willing (or to pray if you are a believer) to a similar never happens again. Never ever.

Beasts of No Nation (2015)
Horror Has No Nation
I've always wondered how the process of filming THIS type of movies is organized, because, you know, for actors from the so called first and second worlds it might be very difficult to imagine how they should act, what exactly should they do to make the audience believe in their characters. Probably it's even harder to do when you are acting together with kids. Beasts of No Nation actually made me BELIEVE
in horror, in disgust, in monsters among us and so far away at the same time.
I definitely liked this movie. Idris Elba in the unusual (for me) role of a despicable, dangerous character – was really good. He's like Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now, but in Africa, and probably worse...
Abraham Attah (the leading role) maybe is not quite a charismatic talented professional actor yet, but I'm not in the habit of criticizing too much our younger generation. I truly believe he did everything possible and at times it was amazing!
Watch this movie, it's worth it.
Think afterward... if necessary.
