the strand theater in seymour screened SCFTW before their halloween double-bill this weekend (10/21/2017), and what struck me immediately was man, this is an 'indie'? does the filmmakers have a 'ten million dollar budget' filter in final cut? because it looked awesome

i don't want to give too much away but the plot was sort of beetlejuicey where chanting a name isn't the best idea for your long-term health. and it doesn't take much its so short that you can sneeze and demon be like "wait..did you call me? i sorta think you did ah close enough ARRRGGGGGHH BOOGA BOOGA"

since im from ct i always think its neat when stuff is filmed around here and checking out the location photos (last house, Friday 2, house of the devil, innkeepers, etc). salem/massachusettes gets more pub but ct has some new england creep to her too

anyway definitely check out SCFTW if you have a chance, and thanks to larry and the folks at ctcultclassics for the showing. the crowd was into it and tho it was only 12 minutes we could have easily watched 5-10 more camp counselors making bad decisions
