This is probably the worst acting job that Nicole Kidman has ever done. What's with the very strange accent she invented? Liev Schreiber is extremely hard to watch with his melodramatic nonsense and self-indulgence. Why did he take this role? Then, there's the film's premise. The focus on the worst aspects of a family in America's top wealth category is really out of tune with the economic realities of our time. The concepts of many scenes are taken from this and that, and that and this. All stereotypes that are entirely predictable, not funny, and just not enjoyable to watch. TV has really fallen in quality. So bad.
He took an exceptional insight into the world's most influential group and completely sanitized it. Yes, the Lindsay-Hogg movie was sad but it also portrayed life and relationships as they were at the time. Now that's what documentaries are supposed to do. Shame on Jackson. Why was the development of tensions city from how it really was? It's critically important to understand how and why the relationship between John and Paul fell apart. It's equally important to see how other relationships were affected. Paul was a control freak. Even his influence on Ringo was damaged. George was an extremely talented musician and just outgrew Paul. Why is that edited out of the original? It's also very important to provide the context of Ono's ever growing relationship with John. Much of the documentary hinges on watching that develop.
The action scenes and fights are like a Hong Kong kung fu played at half speed. Not only are some of the fights slow but seem extremely and embarrassingly choreographed like a slow dance. Very unfortunate. I was really looking forward to watching this instalment. Not sure if the rumours about a fifth show are real. My advice if they are is to quit while they're ahead. The first two shows in the series were very well done. Great plotting and good dialogue. Show three began to fade a bit but was quite entertaining for various reasons. This fourth do not had the higher standards of the previous shows.
