A Quiet Place: Day One is more than just a horror film with it's scares and jumps throughout the film, I believe it is a "human story" surrounded in a horrific event. Lupita Nyong'o performance outshine the presence of menacing aliens. I can't imagine anyone watching this film and contemplating what they would do if they were facing death on a far more deeper level. I enjoyed the adrenaline rush from the monsters aggressive attacks but Lupita 's performance brought everything in perspective for me. I highly recommend this movie because of it's adrenaline rushing scenes and for giving us "human story."
I actually watched Madame Web first before reading the reviews so that I could give it a fair assessment. I personally believe the storyline did have potential however there were some errors I picked up on while the story progressed. The nemesis in the movie wasn't impressive actually I found him quite boring. The performances of the three young ladies, Celeste O' Connor, Sydney Sweeney, and Isabela Merced wasn't too bad. As for Dakota Johnson, I never actually followed her career so I don't have an opinion. I'm not sure where Marvel is going with this film but I do agree if there's a sequel l, I don't know if I would see it. That's really unfortunate because I'm a fan of Marvel.
The original "Good Times" series was the first black family series before many others made their debut. It was relatable to many within the black community because it depicted the daily struggles families faced while trying to survive living in the projects. I can't define sensibly what this new generation of Good Times is trying to depict. It was extremely difficult to follow each episode. The scenes were too busy, the characters movements were lacking fluidity, the language and subject matter was obscene. It's really a shame. I expected more to pay homage to the original Good Times. No good.
