The look of this movie and the gritty authenticity of it's scenes create an aura of naturalism. The performances, by some of todays best emerging onscreen actors like Rav, have the dense texture that we associate with realism.
Furthermore, at a time in our world when ambitious shorts are dominated by dexterity and showy sensation, Rav makes a case for sincere, heartfelt emotion, and shows an enviable willingness to risk cliché in the pursuit of genuine feeling.
Finally, Rav's intelligence are reflected in the conviction of the story, and may also leave an life long mark on his audience.
There is so much skill and so much ingenuity, that Rav is without doubt, one of the next great cinematic talents of our generation.
The Invite is 10/10
