Gothamite1's rating
When I first read the plot about a high rise building taken over by terrorists and only a lone window cleaner, who just happens to have army training, can save the day... I really didn't expect much.
It looked like a generic AI written movie.
But it is so much better.
Excellent performances. Great fight sequences.
Spot on for not making Daisy an unbeatable action hero. The few fight sequences are, fairly, realistic. It's still an action movie after all.
But the twist traitor revealed is a surprise as is the following twists after.
The bad guys all feel real and not just background. Even the ones without any lines come across real.
Good performances, a solid script and some tense action and fight scenes with an excellent bad guy.

So generic. Clearly written by A. I. the worst part of this is they have a really talented cast here along with a pretty decent budget. Good action scenes. I should be giving this a 6.
But the dialogue is terrible. The story is boring. Nothing they do makes sense from the beginning of the movie.
Fake their deaths and go into hiding rather than just quit?
It's two hours long.
They had all this money and they couldn't afford better writers or a more advanced ChatGPT?
I was really looking forwards to Cameron Diaz return to acting. She still has the presence, looks and talent.
Hopefully she'll get better movies in the future.

Saw this at the FrightFest in London for their premiere.
A limited budget and shot during covid so everyone did their scenes seperate. You can barely tell with most scenes they are together.
Most of it is done over Zoom as they duscuss how to create a bio weapon to defeat the aliens.
This does create some plot holes and some suspension of disbelief will be needed to explain the situation they are in and a few decisions.
But the acting is solid and keeps going through some of the more intense scenes and keeps you involved.
The characters are likeable and believable.
The effects are good for the budget and there is a good level of paranoia and suspicion due to the isolation of all involved.
A solid independent sci fi film with good acting and I look forwards to seeing their next work.
