Szadz: Episode #1.7 (2020)
Not easy to write good scenari
Aga is a bloodthirsty, impulsive, but not too smart policewoman. Until episode 6, there was a real tension, but given the quality of the scenario, things became unbelievable. Here are some of the nonsense: The killer's wife drinks the poison without resisting and doesn't go to testify even though she knows her husband is a killer. Towards the end, instead of shooting the serial killer, the policewoman puts her gun on the floor! Why does she do this? Because the writers, lacking talent, wanted to artificially add a little suspense. Some amateurism... It plumes the tension and the episode becomes difficult to believe. Series 2 is even worse... Where is the killer's Megane car? Why doesn't his wife testify? His son, in the process of becoming a psychopath, becomes a liar. We have a hybristophile woman who appears out of nowhere! She becomes a babysitter for his children and influences the son to lie. In the ball of implausibilities and nonsense, the series becomes difficult to bear. It's like a bad horror film. It got so boring that I couldn't watch the series until the end. Too bad.
Better Call Saul (2015)
Series 6 (2022) - It's time to end this...
Better Call Saul Series 6 One may think better it ends. A Vaudeville which arises from the new and final series of "Better Call Saul". He became his own caricature. Kind of second-hand car seller speaking with low-quality marketing "clichés", moving incessantly as a hysterical automate. An overplaying of the actors does not help either. His wife became a real obsessional dark vengeance angel who knows why. Compared to the first series, she was a decided, free mind young lawyer seeking justice with an ethical way of thinking. She became a crazy witch, able to stop the car and change direction on her road to a very important and high social value project that she defends to get vengeance? When the series become a purely commercial product, they stink. This is not an exception, either. Shame it ends like that...
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Picard assassinated in season 2
Picard season 2 Season 2 begins without calling for season one. Did we forget that, or do the new owners just have something more to their liking? The series starts in France, where Picard is breeding wines like an idiot, exposing the vine bottles to the sun. When the script is written by uneducated people, that's what you get... Afterward, we see him as a young boy with a Basque beret. To complete the caricature, he lacks a baguette under his arm. The French don't wear Basque berets since the 30s, but the stupid scriptwriters had to find pictures on the internet to see what a Frenchman looks like. It's slow, it doesn't move at a sci-fi pace. We left the series in the hands of a failed artist who thinks he's doing melodrama? Twenty minutes have passed since the beginning. And to say what: NOTHING. Nothing but nonsensical chatter that ends with a parody of a speech at the Academy... Episode 2 has more movement and seems to go somewhere to understand that Q, with an incomprehensible speech, enters the scene to give a lesson to Picard! Why him? We don't know because Q's speech is gibberish... Episode 3 is even more confusing. The bad writers seem to discover the upcoming scenes on the fly. Even Picard and 7-of-9 don't know where they are any more. Classic conflict situations with the team doubting while Picard seems defeated and accepting a fate in the hands of the Borg Queen. They are led by the Queen to 2024. Why? You don't want to ask those kinds of questions, apparently. The writers are improvising with patches from other Star Trek series. One wonders if the script is written by AI putting together cuts from old episodes? Before, this kind of story was done for one episode, while here the background is diluted over several episodes. It's boring and sometimes caricatural. When the goal is only commercial, Gene Roddenberry must be turning in his grave. The son does not make the weight. The nature sometimes rests...
Missions (2017)
Physics mixed to fantastic and magic
Missions 1-2-3
I don't know if the writers had physicists as advisers but some of the aspects of quantum physics concerned the particles and parallel worlds are imagined in a magic narration. Some scenes could be found in Star Trek's multiple episodes concerning space-time on one hand and quantum physics currently proposed theories, on the other hand without any coherence all along with the episodes. Technically well done, well played, brilliant actors... All these to say what? Human beings are genetically unadaptable to live in a transcendental space civilisation. At the end of the last episode (3rd series), the action taken proves that we are not able to think about others, other living beings... I enjoyed watching the 3 series and hope for the 4th next year! Who knows?
Infiniti (2022)
A nonsens sereis
Infiniti Season 1 - CANAL+
It's supposed to be a crime and science fiction series. It is neither, but a bunch of tension and suspenseful effects empty of meaning, dropped between long and boring scenes. Céline Salette, who plays a hallucinating, delirious astronaut, is chosen by the "NASA???" or "Russian S A?". The HUGE comity is composed of 5 people. They decide who to be sent into space to save people with whom our crazy astronaut has personal relationship... No any other astronaut on Earth???... The control room is VERY RICH. It is composed by 2-3 persons... At the same time, on earth, in Baikonur, a cop finds headless embalmed bodies. He has a girlfriend who is a great hacker with top technological connections and high skills in the middle of a dusty and destitute city, where goats live with inhabitants... Well, I'll stop here. It's so unbelievable that this series makes you laugh with its intellectual poverty. It seems to be written by two-bit scriptwriters who are not even capable of having research on technical aspects, such as "how to become an astronaut?". So much money spent for nothing. If you like "nothing", this series is for you.
Killing Eve (2018)
Season 4
Season 4 is a failure.
When you don't know how to stop at the right moment and you try to exploit a goldmine that has brought money, you need very high-quality scenari writers. This time it's a total failure. One more series (4th.) has become one too many. That exceptional talent, Jodie Comer (Villanelle), plays here a psychopath who becomes, from time to time, psychotic seeing a female Jesus! Nothing amusing here. She gives the impression that she is utterly lost in this script written by the talentless. The face of the great actress, Fiona Shaw, who is said to be playing a double agent? Shows the expression of someone who wants to pay to leave the show. As for Sandra Oh, her only weapon as an actress, presenting a face with no apparent emotion, continues to be Sandra Oh, unable to make sense of the damn script. Shame on the BBC for choosing a team of failed writers and wasting the exceptional talents of Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw.
Outlier: Wrong man (Feil mann) (2021)
Not very convincing
It all starts in a small town lost in the north. The people seem to be slowed down. We don't know from their reactions if they suffer from mental retardation, inbreeding or some other slowdown illness... A girl finds a phone. She looks as smart as a lost cow. The owner of the phone is killed. Yet her brain won't let her call the police. A real retard. A psychologist from London tries to get things moving, but the local police seem as stupid as they are obtuse. If you think the scenario is plausible, don't go to Norway...
Morden i Sandhamn: Löftet (Del 1) (2020)
New new series not good
After Thomas has gone, a new detective, Alexandre appeared. Not easy to write good scenarios every time. In this episode, a young "psychologist" is in love with a psychopath! Either she is utterly idiot, sick herself living a "folie à deux" or she find your diplomas in a gift box... Usually a well trained professional understands the others quite quickly. Maybe in Sweden, it is not the case and the education of psychologists is very week or they chose idiots to become a psychologist or the scenario writers simply lack the talent... Annoying and not convincing at all...
Innan vi dör (2017)
Series-2 Not convoincing at all
Apart the artistic quality of the actors, the scenario is far from the that of the 1st series. What a shame to leave this scenario in the hands of a dummy writers... In the 2nd series, Hanna plays a stupid and emotionally unbalanced person. His son, Christian is at least as stupid or maybe more than his mother. Bianca, his "girlfriend" is not bad in this domain neither... A lot of erratic and surprisingly unexpected behaviours show the weakness of the scenario. Don't wait for the quality of Beck or Wallander. Tina is started as a tiger and ends like a pussy... The behaviour of her husband looks like that of a little shop accountant than a big head of the Police Mafia. There is an army of gangsters in the Police that good guys. You think that Sweden is a Banana Republic (Bravo, good image!). The car of the Ministry of Defence is left in an anonymous parking without any surveillance... A body guard of the Minister becomes his killer! No, we are not in an obscure African country... It becomes exhausting to count all the stupidities and incoherences...
