I am in the USA and have been watching Gran Hotel on Netflix. I do need subtitles but after the 2nd episode I was hooked. The cast is marvelous. I will agree that the writing and screenplay although a bit hokey and soapy at times is also very good. Great villains, Great heroes, great comedians. THE CLOTHES AND SETS were the star of the show. OMG how beautiful. I am nearing the end of season 3 and will sorely miss you when you are gone. Please give us another series that may continue with the same characters...... OOO's

THE Title and summary are misleading. This is a terrible "C" movie. Even with struggling to find things to watch I am sorry I watched this one. The worst story line, the acting was good with the awful material they had to work with. The ending is especially terrible. My recommendation skip this one. !

I am shocked at some of the negative reviews. This is a great series. John Beecham, OMG, he is so great. The production is incredible and it is so far being true to historical events. This is British TV or any TV at its best. I would say that I think that the episodes could be longer and develop the story more and the series could be 8 episodes instead of 6.
