Perfect irony about how dependent we are on the media, on likes, on audience. How the purpose of the media has been distorted. The message of reality is reduced to absurdity: Will we not disturb the audience with bad news? How will this affect viewership? How many likes will we get? We ridicule and betray ourselves and others to get noticed.
A great cast, a well-presented story, which is a tragicomedy that provokes reflection, are we really not able to judge the reality in which we live? Do we really need an estimation from the internet that we are COOL?
The film touches on a serious problem of our civilization, but it is great story to watch.

Well... I had to accept the damage done in the first season and was wondering what new will be in the second one.
Second series is not better than the first one. It has few good moments, though. Unfortunately, it lacks of tempo and good dialogs, which makes it dull. The series lost its uniqueness. Overall the movie sometimes reminds "The Shannara Chronicles". Modern music, very modern talk. Originally the world in the book is very Slavik, very etno, mysterious.... this is lost in the movie, not supported with the music at all. It is just so ...ordinary like plenty of other fantasy movies. Ok, I do not expect the characters speaking an archaic language and play music from middle ages, but at least less modern attributes and more native, Slavik flavour. That is the charm of the Witcher, it is not placed somewhere here in our new modern world. Yeah, yeah...it is a fantasy...so..let's leave it there, somewhere far, far away and long time ago with its charm and its brutality we can only imagine.
I can recommend it for non fans and people not familiar with the saga of the Witcher. Although sudden changes in the timeline might you get lost. Not recommended for the book lovers, as it is a lose adaptation of the original story with changes that may actually annoy you.
Few good points: 1. Triss looks more like Triss in the book - it is a plus, but she is so hysterical when encountered Ciri's power and sort of turned from her. Unnecessary change of the sorceress's character.
2. I liked first episode even though the Ciri was participating in the event, which was not in the book. That was a good change. Liked very much how the Bruxa was presented ...more human? And how the Nivellen was condemned for his crime even after breaking the curse, which did not change what he had done.
3. Yennefer losing power - well done!
4. The Baba Jaga (Voleth Meir) - a new motive nicely started, badly finished. A ghost possessing a ghost ( The Wild Hunt) - I do not buy it. Ciri trapped in the illusion of her past life - very good, especially the fading characters. Nicely done!
5. Graham McTavish as Djikstra? Hm... not bad. Even though he looks exactly like Dougal MacKenzie from "Outlander".
6. Love the actors playing Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Vesemir and the rest of the witchers.
7. Fringilla and Cahir - nice twist. Liked it.
Minuses: 1. Franceska - Oh Dear!.... . The Elves still do not look like Elves...well apart from the pointy ears. Franceska - the most beautiful and enchanting woman, in the book - here, pretty and sooooo ordinary. Really? Coudn't she be as she was in the book? Here she is just boring, not rational woman - instead of a gorgeous queen, who fights for her elves using her charm and intrigues. Pregnancy, an interesting bonus though.
2. Yennefer betrayal .... no, no, no.... . Would it be so bad if she actually resisted and at least you could maintain the core of the character? Here she is too emotional, hysterical and so not Yennefer, who should be smart, cynical, strong, cold outside, spiteful, with warm moments of the character and devoted in her way. She did not apologize - she just made the things right, ... when she wanted.
3. Episodes 2-6 .... soo boring I do not even remember what they were about... .
4. Dialogs - the weakest point. To many of typical clichés, which keep repeating from episode to episode: "They lied to me all my life", "Everybody who wants to help me - dies", "I gave my word... " or "I believe in you". I have heard it in so many movies... . Boring. I was planning to iron again, which I hate. Gerald talks the words he would not say. The conversation between Geralt and Neneke incorporates nothing interesting. Chit chat between Yennefer and Ciri in the 7th episode not interestingly written. Again so ...static.
5. The Dwarfs.... . I can only sigh hard. Really? They do not even look serious. Ok. The Yarpen sort of is, but looks so fragile.
6. Philippa - Hedwig (yeah an owl from Harry Potter). No comment.
7. The Witcher's eyes..... he looks like close relative to Lt. Cmdr. Data from StarTrek (1987-1994). Not scary . Funny.
Really, is it hard to do it better????
8. The Wild Hunt presentation - disappointing. Not ghostly at all.
9. As I liked the first episode I have to admit it does not combine nicely with the rest of the story. It just leaves you with the question "What was it about?".
