Calvin Dwight Harris President and CEO; Harris Entertainment was born on the sunny Caribbean island of New Providence, which is among the seven hundred islands and chains that make up the Bahamas. In 1988, at the age of 18, Calvin left home on a track and field scholarship to attend Murray State University. After transferring to the University of Idaho in 1990, Calvin graduated with an Engineering Degree in 1994 and soon afterward moved to Denver, Colorado. His love for watching movies and a passion to one day make a difference in the film industry is what inspired Calvin to become a filmmaker.

With an inspired vision, Calvin founded Harris Entertainment in the spring of 2004. The first film released under the Harris Entertainment banner was “On the Wings of Men". This film is about the Life & Times of the first ever Prime Minister of the Bahamas; Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling and his fight against US foreign policies in the 1980's during the drug war. This film won The Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 8th Annual Bahamas International Film Festival December, 2011.

Calvin is currently in pre-production with his next film; "Perfect Feet". Perfect Feet is a feature length documentary film about the foot care & shoe industries.

  • A great indie post-apocalyptical thriller.

Edge of Extinction was a great indie dramatic post-apocalyptical film. Director Andrew Gilbert did a fantastic job pulling the best performances out of all of his actors. Lead actor's Georgie Smibert, Luke Hobson & Chris Kaye were instrumental to the film's success. A complex psychological thriller about surviving the events after WWIII and all of the various obstacles they encountered along their path to survival. A film that keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat. This film was well shot and the cinematographer (Julian Hundy) did a great job painting a great visual picture. The music, editing, & additional photography were all on point.

  • A great indie psychological dramatic film.

Mothers of Monsters was a great indie dramatic film. Director Tucia Lyman did a fantastic job pulling the best performances out of all of her actors. Lead actor's Melinda Page Hamilton & Bailey Edwards were instrumental to the film's success. A complex psychological thriller between the mental state of both mom & son will lead the audience on a dramatic journey into the challenges of mental health issues plaguing the world. What the film demonstrates is that these issues are indeed global issues. This film was well shot and the cinematographer (mostly shot from a point of view perceptive) did a great job painting a great visual picture. The music, editing, & additional photography were all on point.

  • A great suspenseful indie film.

The Stalker was a great suspenseful indie film. Director John Giorgio did a great job transferring Michelle Lewis's screenplay to the big screen. He was also successful in bringing out the best performance from all of his actors. Lead actors Chad Ayers (Steve Hamilton) & Virginia Vogt (Wendy Hamilton) were instrumental in leading the audience through his compelling film. A family who find themselves stalked by an ambiguous character ultimately do what it takes to survive. This film was shot is a style reminiscent of the 1980's slasher horror films. The music, editing, & camerawork were all on point.
