This is an enormously unlikeable movie. Only someone who is trying to say the right thing artistically would lie and say they like this show. Movies need heroes. They need people you like or want to know more about. This movie does not have those things. Deniro is at his worst here and so is HK. I never liked it. Never liked anyone in it. Notable for tons of big stars involved. Even the Carradines in bit parts. But I gaurantee after you see it once you ll never want to see it again. I think this movie got seen a lot in the 90's by kids liie me who had great moms that bought them vhs scorcese box sets for christmas.
As good as you are going to find for a Billy the Kid documentary. They probably wont make a better one. "On April 28 1881 just days from being hanged for murder 21-year-old Henry McCarty alias Billy the Kid outfoxed his jailors and electrified the nation with the last in a long line of daring escapes. Just a few weeks later he was finally gunned down by an ambitious sheriff and the felling of one of the most notorious criminals of the age made headlines across the country." One thing though. No one knows Billy the kid was actually who was killed by Pat Garrett. It is heresay from a dubius source and the american wests favorite urban legend. This treats the urband legend kind of like fact by just pishawing the Bushy Bill tale.
