This movie has the best characters! Each one defines his/her reason for being a part of the story! Great acting; I gave it a ten for smoothest delivery and believability! Edward Norton, the Best directing and acting! The content takes us back to the 50's; film noire at it's Best! I hope this makes it to the Film Preservation Society! It is a 'gem' and needs to be preserved as such! KUDOS to Edward Norton! Oh the music- 40's / 50's Jazz; buy this cd for sure!!!

Coming from the 'Blax Ploitation' movies that everyone loved to hate at the time, watch this turn into a 'cult movie!' It has the music, the Star 'Taraji P Henson ' , the theme, sort of like a 'Cleopatra Jones's w a 2018 take! I study film, I have a 1916 'Sherlock Holmes' that I love! I like the movies that are willing to go off the edge! So, I predict that people will come back and take another look at this film and look beyond, seeing more into it! 'SuperFly' effect, Mary wants to get out! She's worthy of the chance! #WomanPower - I Like It! 😊💗

Great movie! How could this picture not have won an Oscar? And also 'The Birds!' Anytime a picture has you this afraid to go into rooms in the house - OSCAR material! Just like Hitchcock's 'Rebecca' Terrifying! Love All of them!
