I was a bit hesitant about watching this, because (1) I hate Pretty Woman, and (2) there's an awful lot of nudity at the beginning. However, it isn't some crass, misogynistic Hollywood BS, and it isn't the typical situation where an actress is forced to do nudity just because some studio jerks got off on it or thought they'd get more revenue. It's a very touching story that I think a lot of women can relate to, with a whole lot of humor along the way. The characters feel real. As much as I'd like to talk about the ending, which was the best part, I won't, because I'd rather convince you to give the movie a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Why would you hire an actress who has clearly had way too much work done and has crazy-long hair. She is not believable as a professional woman and completely distracts from the story. She would only be believable as a stripper. Joel Edgerton is very believable as his character, but when you see him in a scene with that woman with six inches of makeup and tattooed-on eyebrows, it just ruins suspension of disbelief. Then there's her ridiculous hair. Honestly, I think I can guess how she got her job. I thought we were beyond that in this day and age. Gross. What a shame she ruined the movie. She's only fit for one kind of role, and this isn't it.
