Into the Deep (2022)
Two words. Dead Calm.
Shameful rip off of the very very good "take them to a cabin and kill them" genre film Dead Calm. And jet Ski's don't carry that much fuel, wouldn't bother to find out why.
Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021)
Annoying rubbish
Not good at all, nothing redeeming here, everyone just shouts complete rubbish at each other constantly, even the puzzles are rubbish, don't waste your time.
Outback (2019)
The most stupid people ever.
If you enjoy watching two complete idiots then this is the film for you. Why didn't you make a fire, why did you leave the car in the middle of the night, take selfies instead of check gps with 13percent charge, why oh why oh why. Looked good, sound design good. Because these people were so stupid the film should have made me dislike them even more, but it wasn't brave enough to do that. Good luck in not smashing your tv in frustration.
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Totally underrated
Saw this in the cinema when it came out and I too wasn't to impressed but then that's the expectation from a brilliant franchise. Obviously T1 and T2 are incredible can't tell you how may times I've watched them. But after picking this up later I really like this instalment. Brilliant new tech, really smart and original action sequences, terminator bikes, brilliant. Christian bale is a perfect John Connor and could quite easily see him reprise it, but box office said no. Michael Ironside to boot, what else do you need. Definitely sits comfortably next to 1 and 2.
Run (2020)
Basically misery but worth a go
So yes it's basically misery but with a nice twist. Definitely worth a go. Some great ideas, some not so, and some genuinely tense moments. Very solid performances by both leads. I liked it. Worth your 90 minutes.
Bigfoot (2012)
Terrible terrible terrible.
Terrible film, but I loved it. It's so stupid it's beyond. The cgi is, well where was it. Alice Cooper getting munched is a highlight. My only conclusion is that they set out to make the worst film possible and succeeded. Put this in a museum.

The Tax Collector (2020)
Felt like he wrote it in his sleep.
Basically a standard revenge gang flick. I love Davis Ayre he's made some great films, but this one is lacking. A revenge film by the numbers. Even though this one doesn't hit the mark it's still watchable, I still cared just not enough. He does seem to get and pull you into this world. LeBeouf is sadly under used.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Cancel it now. Or do something really drastic.
Just not good at all, I'm a huge walking dead fan and fear, write from the first show, but this is just pointless characterless drivel. The idea is actually not bad. Just cancel it now and stop watering down such a great franchise.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
Understand why some hate it
Didn't love love it like I did part 1 but I still think this game is incredible, Yes the character switch went on way to long and yes I was gutted with what they did to Joel. But I actually think that was a pretty brave move, the story had to move on and they did that well. It's definitely not as tender as the first, the characters in the first is why you play it it's so absorbing. The game play in part 2 in great, I love the added moves. But again just when Ellie bonds with another character they kill him off. Definitely play it, in my view it's still a great great game and stands up, just very disappointed with some of the character choices.
Jackie Brown (1997)
By far his best film.
To me Jackie Bown is QT best film to date. Yes it probably wouldn't have been made or be as great without Resevoir dogs or Pulp fiction behind it. Its slick, effortlessly flows, doesn't drag at all which sometimes his films of late, (as good as they are) can suffer from. With incredible performances by all, Humour, violence, smarts, and a brief love story, looks great and one of my favourite soundtracks from Tarantino s record collections. A must see and will surely in my view be his finest.
Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
Not much here.
I really liked the first one, it definitely had something going for it. But The Boy 2 just doesn't hit the mark. Predictable jump scares and too many he's behind you shots. Coupled with a more than generic score and a script that just falls flat. 4 for a genuine effort but nothing much to see here.
The Boy (2016)
Had me going.
A bit sceptical but was pleasantly surprised. Lauren Cohan held the film well and after 5 minutes forgot she was Maggie. Simple and somewhat a classic ghost story but very creepy at times and some genuine jumps. Liked it.
Crank (2006)
Statham on top form.
Funny, smart, great action, great set ups, great performances from all, just the right side of cheesy, some might say completely pointless, but there wrong. Crank will surely become a bit of a cult classic. Love it.
Uncle Peckerhead (2020)
I loved this film.
Yes it's got that Tromo thing, If your in a band or have been you'll get it even more. The Cast, music, script and make up are great with just enough gags. Doesn't drag at all give it a go.
La vie d'Adèle (2013)
Beautiful and tender
This film will put a spell on you. A beautifully told story of falling in and out of love and everything in between. Mesmerising performances by the two leads.
First Blood (1982)
Tip top Action with heart.
Rambo is a great action movie Touched with a solid underbelly of PTSD in this case a Vietnam vet. Stallone gives a screen star defining performance (post rocky) especially at the end proving he is a very underrated actor. Supported by the ever brilliant Brian Dennehy and an always incredible Jerry Goldsmith score, watch for the score alone. Rambo defined the genre.
The Neon Demon (2016)
Pointless
Whatever was going on in Winding Refn's mind definitely did not hit the screen coherently. Ok it looked good at time's but really it's a pretentious mess. Save your eyeballs.
Uncut Gems (2019)
Irritating
A well trodden story not executed with much finesse that say David Mamet would give. Scenes dragged on with So much shouting and talking over each other it got really irritating. Sandier is ok but I couldn't care less what happened to his character Howard in the end. And I hated the score. 3 for Sandler giving it a worthy go.
Havana Darkness (2018)
Scary how bad this is.
For such a well trodden genre how can you make such a terrible job if it. With terrible directing, script, editing and music. The actors tried hard but sadly there's no saving this. Only got to the end out desperate fascination.
Midsommar (2019)
It is the Wicker Man...But
Nothing new here, but it looked great the score was incredible and the director definitely has a feel for the very creepy uncomfortable. This comes after the also very claustrophobic Hereditary. Think there's lots more to come from this director. Definitely worth a go.
Slender Man (2018)
Pointless
Pointless, stupid and literally has nothing to offer to film. Don't waste your time.
Shed of the Dead (2019)
Rip off, nothing original here.
The first 45 minutes are so bad and amateurish it's beyond, Then picks up a bit. Think the cast did there best with a pretty poor script and sluggish direction, even though there are a couple of decent gags in there. It tries, but just too hard Nothing original here.
The Last of Us (2013)
Completely absorbing and brilliant
I'm not a massive gamer but the last us is truly outstanding. As a huge post apocalyptic fan this game ticks every box. Brilliant story and characters you really care for and all in a game. The game play is fantastic but since I first played it when it came out you could say the graphics have dated a bit. But who cares The Last of us is a brilliant experience that stays with you, please make the film which seems to have been in the pipe line for years now.
Skyscraper (2018)
2 only because of DJ
I've got a lot of time for Dwayne Johnson, but 125m on this, really. It's just stupid rubbish, don't waste a minute on it.
