Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 (2020)
Unexpected masterpiece!
I love everything Ghost in the Shell, but when I saw the trailer for this I was torn. I really didn't think I would like the animation style. But from the first scene I was hooked, and then the major started speaking in Japanese. I checked the audio setting but the English option wasn't available. I mostly watch dubs, and GitS:SAC has a really good cast, so I was kinda disappointed, but then I kept watching. I got over it pretty fast. The concepts these episodes tackle and the writing more than made up for any aesthetic problems I had. I just wish there was more of it. I'll definitely do a rewatch when the dub is added to Netflix. If you're a fan of Stand Alone Complex I think you'll enjoy this a lot. Hopefully we'll get a few more seasons!
Zashchitniki (2017)
Pure Joy
I don't think any movie has ever elicited more pure childish happiness in me. I watched this movie by myself, and was dying laughing. I screamed out loud several times "HE'S A BEAR!!" followed by "AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" It's just so much fun. The movies doesn't take it self seriously, and neither should the audience. The end was super anticlimactic, but just because there is a bear with a gattling gun, it deserves 10 stars. Probably the most Russian (and metal) thing I have ever seen.

Laughed My @$$ Off
I watched the first 3 episodes, and I don't understand why this show is getting so much hate. The premise is fun, the kids in the class are a fun ensemble, the lead is awesome, and Patton Oswalt is great as always. I was audibly laughing throughout each episode, and I can't wait to see the premise explored further. I look forward to learning more about Jack's backstory.
