I cannot say enough good things about this documentary.
The timelines and testimonials presented throughout this film are spot-on!
The comparison's between South Korea and the USA clearly explained why the Asian response to Covid succeeded, while the US response became a grotesque failure. Many American's never knew that the head of the Chinese CDC had lengthy and detailed discussions regarding the virus with (Dr Redfield) the head of the US CDC on January 3rd, 2020. Unfortunately, this documentary did not mention the 15 US CDC scientists that were working with the WHO scientists as early as Jan 1st, 2020.
I was never quite sure what Kushner's role was in the US response; however, this documentary clarified what I already suspected. His role in this disaster should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI once Trump leaves Office.
Hopefully those who played key roles in this tragedy will be held criminally responsible once Biden is sworn-in as the new POTUS.
There is no doubt that the handful of 1/10 ratings on this site were written by ardent Trump supporters.
As a "self-declared genius" once said: "Lock them up!"
Where di I begin ...
Aside from the bad sound engineering, awkward acting scenes, and the right-wing religious undertones, they had the chance to make a good movie here.
The CDC representative's actions are completely unrealistic, his uniform is out of place, he doesn't know how to wear PPE, and his acting is just plain awful!
The line "China's being lying to us about the effects" couldn't be further from the truth. The head of the Chinese CDC discussed the outbreak at great length with the head of the US CDC (Redfield) on January 3rd, 2020. Watch the movie "Totally Under Control" (it's on Prime) to see what really happened.
The last 10 minutes of this "made for TV propaganda piece" is a combination of unrealistic coincidences, religious propaganda, and a magical group healing.
I'm OK with the underlying theme of the series, but ...
1. I hate Steve Zahn's over-acting ... more angry stares into the camera please? 2. I don't know why HSI keep the visitors in tents? 3. How come the visitors are wearing the same clothes all the time? 4. Why do the lead investigators always need to have face-to-face conversations? 5. Why is there only one Doctor/scientist looking after the visitors? 6. Why are there no quarantine procedures at the camp/town? 7. Why do the characters only say 10% of what needs to be said? 8. Why does every conversation between the characters seem awkward?
Another low-budget sci-fi with bad science, writing and acting.
