The Spy (2019)
Funky spy series about Eli Cohen
The guy on the left played in the spy series The Americans, so you remember? Also the insanity of the middle East and Syria is portrayed here, along with Israel is an up to date portrayal of both sides in the never ending battle of Abrahams children fighting incessantly for land and power these days of wine 🍷 and 🌹 roses! What do you think? What would you do? Would you flee as everyone else, or fight to the death in heat and sand? Murf.

Stranger Things (2016)
On to Mordor!
The Shire is burning!.Shall we follow Eddie into Mordor? Oh my! This show is very scary and Vecna is even more bizarre and supernatural that previous seasons. The Jewish character Murray (my namesake) is really funny and a great actor as he portrayed black belt karate expert that never won a fight, or even engaged in one... Without giving anything away, this is a must watch for fall entertainment in 2022! You've really got to see this! The Shire is burning!.Shall we follow Eddie into Mordor? Oh my! Black·ish (2014)
Very funny and Woke as heck!
Love this show and how it makes fun of humanity making fun of itself. It is really a great show for kids and all kinds of half grown adults, and some that never grew up. I grew up a suburban WASP and think that we need more shows like this in our live, and for better or worse, even Fat Albert and the Gang were great moral compasses as a cartoon you see. We all have to learn that no one is above reproach, and we all make our silly daily blunders like everyone else. The important thing to know is that we can all laugh together at our shortcomings together you see. It is we the people, not us and them in this big bad world of so much anger and animosity... Let's love unconditionally and forever! Cheers! MURF.
Ferry (2021)
Spank me hard!
An absolute delight to watch from one of the most beautiful countries in the world! (Right Karen Holt?) This show has the same protagonist "Frank Lemmers" as in Undercover, as he is the worlds new tough guy for drama you see. Ruthless Ferry Bouman is sent to his native region of Brabant by his boss Brink to avenge an attack on their gang. When he meets lovely Danielle and old family feuds resurface, Brabant starts to pierce his steel armor. Reminds me a bit of a "godfather type series" popular not too long ago on HBO. Do you remember it? Anyone? Murf
BTW watch "Undercover" on Netflix also, well worth your dramatic timing all you fans of the underworld of crime... enjoy!
Nathan's Kingdom (2020)
abandon all hope ye who enter the kingdom
You have to understand that when people give up hope, they have nowhere to turn. Never destroy hope and love, as it is what all of humanity holds on to and holds dear. If you think that the world is hopeless, give in to help and seek the advice of others that are older and wiser to show you the way... A young autistic man struggles with his teenage opiate-addicted sister, and together they risk their lives to find a fictitious kingdom with the potential of changing their lives forever. This movie is quite poignant and relative, in that it points to basic humanitarian needs of Maslow's Hierarchy of Power Pyramid. I would also utilize the five stages of Thanatology or grief as well. Cheers! Murf.
Paddington 2 (2017)
I can bearly handle the excitement!
It is really quite unusual the the sequel (Paddington 2) is better than the original (Paddington)! I think it is marvelous also, that it is free right now on ROKU channel on Roku itself (with commercials of course) to all w/o charge. If you liked the original (I did!) you'll absolutely love this. "Where the rivers run with Marmalade and the streets are paved with bread" she croons in the very beginning. You know it's a bears life you see. "Oh Pastuzo!", a few bear years ago, this time next month we'll be in London, as reading makes me sleepy... Enjoy! BTW, watch "Pizzagate" on Amazon Prime, for something completely different, and a taste of "right wing conspiracies" , (in a hilarious horror, farcical conspiracy drama). Now you've got stuff to watch this week! You've welcome, Pax, Murf.
Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles (2022)
Love dem wabbits!
This is a brand new series on netflix (Chinese?) that is dubbed into English and rather cute and cuddly. The perfect way to end a lovely day of hard work and stress you see. Teenage Rabbit Samurai Yuichi, a descendant of the great warrior Miyamoto Usagi, embarks on an epic quest to become a true samurai. What could possibly be better than that? Murf.
Unité 42 (2017)
watch me! ?
The Brits and French love their murder mystery crime series a WHOLE bunch you see , LOL. While having to raise his three children on his own, Inspector Sam Leroy joins Brussels' Cyber Crime Unit. Confronted with new codes, he must collaborate with Billie Vebber, a former hacker who covertly pursues objectives of her own. Cheers! Murf.
The War Next-Door (2021)
Spank me silly!
The war of the classes is back for another season! So very funny and translated into English, and shows how rich people treat the poor. It's a comedy with real eye openers too. Enjoy and tell us what you think?
Ms. Marvel (2022)
fun for everyone!
Really fun series, that brings out the little girl in me, with showing me her culture and enlightening me to a new generation of child like minds! (I know, sounds creepy, right?) Actually, I mean what I say, and it is NOT creepy to want to be young again, or a superhero too! I think every one of you will enjoy this new series on Disney this month to high acclaim. Try it, you'll see for yourself! Cheers, Murf.
Mijn beste vriendin Anne Frank (2021)
Good drama~
Gosh, I cannot believe I've not seen this movie yet on (Netflix). I'm watching half tonight and the other half tomorrow as it is getting late here out west. Hope you all get to see this movie also; it is really interesting so far. I hope to see the "Anne Frank" house in Amsterdam when I get to travel there soon. All my love, Murf.
Murderville (2022)
Aha ha ha
A brand new offering on Netflix; If you're a big big fan of sarcasm (as I am0 you'll be pleased to find this horrendously funny new detective show. You'll be guaranteed to take off your detective training diapers and poo in your pants even. This show has it all... Big Stars, big jokes and will get your lips dirty with every episode you see. Please be advised, that many won't get these funny but dry jokes at all. (Your loss). Watch and learn, detective work is a skanky business. Cheers, Pax, Murf.
In from the Cold (2022)
The cold is all over the northeast as well!
Exposed as an ex-Russian spy, an American single mom must juggle family life and unique shape-shifting skills in a battle against an insidious enemy. If you love the tension of espionage stories or the wonder evoked by sci-fi tales, then Netflix's new series, In From the Cold, is probably right down your alley. The thriller debuted on Friday, and it has already jumped into the number-four spot on the streaming site's list of top TV shows. Starring Margarita Levieva (who you might recognize for her turn as Amanda Clarke on Revenge ), the series sees Levieva as Jenny Franklin, a former Russian spy who has tried to bury her past and rebuild her life, living in the U. S. as a single mother. However, when the CIA forces her to investigate a killer who is copying her old identity, Franklin's world is thrown into chaos. Oh, and did we mention that Franklin was also part of a secret experiment that gave her the power to shapeshift? Yep, you read that right. I'm going back to watch! Pax and chillax, Murf.
Chosen (2022)
Takes off with a bang!
Chosen is a really fun TV series right now from Denmark on Netflix. Its protagonist is a young lady in HS who likes to party and discovered that their local meteor is made of glass in the opening of the show. She has had five jobs in the past year which makes her a bit of a ditz. However, she catches up with another group of teenagers who think that their local meteor was really a spaceship! How cool is that? Fun and inebriated hilarity ensue and amuse. Hope you'll like this Danish psy-fi/drama too. Enjoy, Murf.
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
Similar to Squid Game
Have you watched "Squid Game"? YOu'll love "Alice in Borderland" for sure; it's Japanese with American voice dubbing, in a less annoying manner than our British cousins attempting those awkward Asian/English translations you see. The suspense is quite captivating and fascinating to watch at times. It's now very bloody, but rather relies on the acting and emphasis on hand gesturing. I think this is a winner here, as I give it two thumbs up. Cheers, and enjoy, Murf.
Tiempos de guerra (2017)
Bang bang, kiss kiss!
This is clearly an exciting period epic. Part Drama/horror/Action/medical, it takes place during the African-Spanish war for Morocco. I think everything is quite good really. It is in Spanish of course with American English dubbing voiceovers. I think you'll really enjoy the Drama and love aspects of it totally. Pax, Murf.
Undercover (2019)
Watch your German sausages with this one~ ha ha
Brand new on Netflix, a German/Flemish Dutch undercover, action cop show with a mismatched couple to be undercover agents. This show covers the gamut of comedy, action, suspense, and drama, all in one fell swoop! Whoosh! I'm telling you, that you'll be on the edge of your seat with this three-season series so far. I warn you, it is quite entertaining, thus addicting too. Enjoy and Pax, Murf.
Beyond White Space (2018)
Ahoy Mates!
For all you Herman Melville fans (like me!) There are numerous references to Herman Melville's epic 19th-century novel, Moby Dick: the obsessive and vengeful pursuit of an enormous creature, many nautical themes, harpooners, reference to "ambergris" (the sought after substance in sperm whales), a character named Ahab (Ron Yuan), a silver sculpture of a whale (although it appears to be a blue whale rather than a sperm whale), a character named Stubniski (Dave Sheridan) known as "Stubs" (paralleling the character Stubbs in Moby Dick), pirates called "Boomers" (there is a character named Captain Boomer in Moby Dick), the main ship's name is the Essex (the same name as the historical ship upon which the Pequod from Moby Dick is based), Hawthorne's (Mike Genovese) last line ("With my last breath") parallels Captain Ahab's last line ("I spit my last breath at thee"), etc. Murf (Amazon Prime)
Death to 2021 (2021)
Bend over and smile!
Sad, disturbing, and HILARIOUS! If you thought 2020 was a S show; this is the real deal. We will be talking about the attempt at taking down our government by the trumptards for a long long time in all the history books. Why? Because it is the truth, and secondly it really happened on Jan 6th. You'll truly enjoy this video no matter your party or affiliation, and just maybe make you all the wiser too. I strongly recommend you pour yourself a strong one to be able to watch this reboot of the year. Very well done with humor and good taste. ENJOY! Murf.
Colin in Black and White (2021)
Hater go away!
Good, God! Why all the haters? Colin is a man amongst men, an officer and a gentleman, more American than most of us whiners and complainers.... Why on Earth, would people call this black man who works very hard I might add, a THUG? It is clear to me that the word THUG defines a criminal, low-life, con man that bilks money and resources off people, for their own ego and financial robbings. Hmmmm.....Does that remind us of anyone we know? (Orange Popsicle) This is a great show and explains how Colin grew up in American suburbia with a great deal of prejudice and unfair treatment. He excelled in every way, the American way, through hard work and effort. (He was no trust fund baby like the Trumps and many other spoiled people that belong to hate groups and hate organizations all over America. I think it's high time we expose these evil bastards, whose only purpose on earth is to heap terror and misery upon untold the masses. I highly recommend this show, as all American and wholesome to watch. Maybe we could all learn a thing or two. Pax and love, Murf.
Bom Dia, Verônica (2020)
Domestic Abuse is Real!
This is quite real, and from Brazil. This is prevalent in other countries all over the world as well. Domestic abuse of women has got to stop! The abuses suffered by Janete are based on real accounts of domestic abuse researched by the writers, such as the sauce scene. Some of Brandão (the abuser)'s lines were taken verbatim from a real story. An excellent series on Netflix this month and translated into English without losing any of the drama and suspense of great writers and actors who contribute to this masterpiece theatre. Murf.
Kastanjemanden (2021)
Scary as Heck!
This Danish murder mystery looks very, very scary tonight! Having gone over to Aalborg every summer for a month or so for the past decade, I've learned much about their way of life. We say Hi Hi when addressing one another like "hey!" or 'hello" you see, and also when saying "bye". Tak is thanks! This show is reminiscent of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo that we've all read back in 2008? (about ten years ago). So far it looks like a six-part series and should have a stellar ending. As I've said, the Danes have a great history of horror and murder mystery categories. I really hope that you'll enjoy this series on Netflix as much as I have, Pax and chillax to the max, Murf.
The Letter for the King (2020)
Wonderfully Done Children's Tale
I can not share enough praise for this brand new series on Netflix. It's a bit tedious as it begins, but by the third episode it is in full swing with amazing appeal. You've got to see this to believe me, right? So plunge right in an find yourself in a fantasy world so real it's fantasmagorical in its eloquence and beauty. The simplicity of the story line, (delivering a letter), keeps you on plot always. Loving it every episode now! Pax, Murf
Rupan sansei: Kariosutoro no shiro (1979)
Political same as today's news with trump!
If you get a chance, watch this 1979 Japanese film making fun of Americans and Europeans! The parallels to today's new is extremely pertinent. You'll see the obvious buffoonery of Trump written all over this 50 year old film. You see, Japan, unlike England or America know their place with imperialism and crony capitalism. They learned well from WWII what America has yet to learn, that pride is one of the seven deadlies. Hubris is in its deadliest form presently, and this Japanese cartoon exemplifies this magnificently! Enjoy, and tell them, Murf sent you, Pax Americanus. Murf
Special (2019)
This show IS special!
I love 💘 this show, as it exemplifies real talent from its men and women! You've really got to understand millennial to get at half the jokes, and the dialogue is fresh and clear. I'll give it an eight and a half for its great entertainment values, whilst teaching us life's lessons like All in the Family from the seventies. Pax, Murf
