Amy Schumer is honestly one of the most bafflingly overrated comedians of our time. She built her entire career on a mix of recycled jokes, obnoxious delivery, and an unbearable sense of self-importance. Her humor relies almost entirely on crude shock value, rehashing the same tired bits about sex, drinking, and how omg she's so relatable because she's not a size zero!-as if that's supposed to be a personality trait.
The worst part? She's not even original. She's been called out multiple times for joke theft, blatantly lifting material from other comedians and then playing the victim when confronted. And yet, despite this, Hollywood keeps pushing her as some kind of feminist trailblazer when all she does is lean into lazy, one-dimensional stereotypes.
Then there's her acting. Whether it's Trainwreck (which somehow convinced people she was funny) or her disastrous Netflix special, her performances feel like one long, awkward, self-indulgent monologue. Every role she plays is just Amy Schumer as herself, but slightly more unbearable. And don't even get me started on her hosting gigs-her Oscars appearance was so painfully unfunny, it felt like watching someone bomb at an open mic for three straight hours.
She also has this weird, self-righteous attitude where she acts like anyone who doesn't like her is just a misogynist who can't handle a "strong, funny woman," when in reality, people just don't find her funny. Plenty of female comedians (actual funny ones like Ali Wong, Chelsea Peretti, and Michelle Wolf) manage to be hilarious without being insufferable.
At this point, Amy Schumer is less of a comedian and more of a corporate-backed, unfunny meme that just won't go away.

Was I a hater last year when season one dropped?! 100% absolutely. Gave it a 5/10 and was praying they'd cancel the show. My main issue last season was that it was so cringey, couldn't go 5 minutes without pausing or shutting off my laptop to take a break. Season 2 dropped, and had to watch for my boy Anthony and yes unfortunately the show is still cringey but...... It got better?! First thing first, why is kitty so mf GREEDYYYYYY f 3-4 love interests every semester, isnt a semester only 3-4 months? Sis is playing in our face cause how do u even know this many ppl. Picking up boys and girls like shi is a game!!!! (on the low teach us ur ways 09). Moving on i did like the new trajectory in the plot (focusing on reuniting her family, teared up a lil), love that the episodes are quick and short (so u can speed through it and not take it too seriously), loved Q and Jin (aka Joshua lee who i knew from before the show and his connections at NYU and harvard), kitty also slayed her outfits this season. Honestly just a cute fun watch and atp u just gotta laugh at the cringe instead of judging it. Went from 5/10 last season to 7/10 this season. Lowkey want a season 3 just to see her with Min ho.
Quelle émission incroyable!! : Voltaire High ("Mixte 1963") is honestly a hidden gem that combines a blend of compelling storytelling and complex characters set against the rich historical backdrop of the 1960s. The show explores the dynamics of introducing a co-ed system in a French school during the 60s, delving into the social and cultural shifts that come with this change. It highlights the challenges and tensions that arose when traditionally gender-segregated institutions opened their doors to both boys and girls, blending new opportunities with the clash of evolving values; exploring themes of love, self-discovery, wlw queerness, lavender marriages, self-liberation, Algerian-French racism, homophobia, misogyny and social change.
One of its standout elements is the character chemistry, with relationships that feel authentic and emotionally charged. The tension between students from different social backgrounds and the evolving gender norms of the time add layers to the storyline, making it much more than a simple school drama. It's a shame there isn't a season 2 but they ended it in such a perfect way it doesn't really leave you with any questions.
