I'm really surprised at the low rating here because this was one of the best shows I've seen in a while. Suranne Jones and Eve Best are both amazing as true sisters that have to deal with a lot and work through a lot. And as a bonus, the setting is beautiful and you get to spend time with Stockard Channing!
But I especially liked the show because it really made me think about my relationships with my own siblings and my parents. I kept asking myself what I would be doing in that same situation. The show is not just a pretty face. It's a very introspective look at family and how we deal with our perceptions and reality. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

I like the episode, and I really love Jamie Lee Curtis's portrayal of Donna. What a great character! I can see why all three kids have their issues. But one thing I thought was a little inconsistent with reality was that Natalie kept calling everyone and got no answer. She complained about Carmy not picking up. But in this day and age, no one calls anyone. They text. Or if you call and you don't get an answer, then you text. She didn't make any attempt to text anyone. I thought that was quite ridiculous. And certainly not true to life.
Other than that, I thought the episode was very well done, although like some other reviewers, I'm not quite sure why they included it in here. Yes, there were some good character development but I don't think it was really needed.

I like the show so far and look forward to watching more. I was surprised by the reviewer who said that Mary Kane had a terrible American accent. As an American, I can tell you that she sounds exactly like many people in the south. I thought she sounded, pretty good.
I think the plot moves along very well, and there are some interesting characters. Overall, I rated it an eight out of ten, and I hope to raise that reading as the show goes on. Now to wonder how long it will take me to get through all eighty-six episodes. I guess next time I shouldn't start so late watching this. But I'm looking forward to it.
