Ghost Nation (2019)
Was once my favorite of the Paranormal shows....
I hate writing this review, mostly because it leans more to the negative than the positive! First I want to say I'm thankful yall 3 are still together, however, this show NEEDS more...I think y'all need to use more equipment and such. Also, while I appreciate your wanting to debunk things, what y'all seem to finally "hear", most of us watching don't hear anything. I just feel like the interaction, or lack there of, is something that's important and yet doesn't happen.
I much prefer this over Ghost Adventures, that show makes me want stab myself in the eardrums, but if y'all dont make some changes, this show may not make it to another season! If hate to see this show end on a permanent basis, however, the lack of equipment not being used that could be & the overall drag of the show needs a pick me up.
Come on fellers....get this show up a few notches or you unfortunately won't have to worry about next season! (Sorry).
Destination Fear (2019)
This show has potential BUT....
Ok, this show has more potential than they realize, but yet definitely fall short of. The biggest issue for me with them is they talk way TOO much & allow way too much talking in the beginning of each show from others talking about certain locations. The entirety of an hr show goes is something like this...
Firstly....90% of them talking to one another about the location they are going to visit!
Secondly, talking of those they have on in the beginning of the hour, usually owners or caretakers of said property! I get they want to share this info, but it's way too much talking! Shorten the narrative by a LOT!
Thirdly, at the end of each show yall literally have your cameras turned towards yourselves & guess what yall are doing...still talking! This is so unnecessary.
Ok and finally.....the remaining 10% of your show is.......
TV commercials & lastly the actual INVESTIGATION! This in itself is ridiculous! I've yet to see a show that focuses more on talking about what they are going to do/or already done vs the cold hard investigation, which is why we all watch in the first place.
I really do believe this show could be a lot better if yall cut down on the chatter & focus on the location & investigation. Real potential here!
The Dead Files (2011)
My favorite of all the Paranormal shows!
This is my favorite paranormal show!
Steve and Amy have good "chemistry" and respect one another, unlike Zac of GA! The way they go about their investigations is different than other paranormal shows put there, not to mention this maybe the only show that actually appears to be wanting to "help" the spirits! (Well Kindred Spirits also tries to help them. Keep up the great work, yall.
Ghost Adventures (2008)
ZB USE to be interesting, not anymore. Aaron is too damn loud & childish!
I want to start out by saying I absolutely appreciate most of the Paranormal shows, but GAs takes the paranormal to a whole new ridiculous level! Zac USE to be interesting to watch, now he is so dramatic & hateful I just want to reach through the TV & shake him until he realizes what a jerk he comes off as. Now to Aaron, OMG, this man is too loud when he interacts! I like his "character" better than Zacs & quite honestly despise how Zac treats Aaron! He talks to him in such a degrading manner..it's like.."Aaron, go in that room, do it NOW!" I can't believe how Aaron ALLOWS him to speak with him in such a tone, especially on TV for all the world to see. Aaron reminds me of a child being bullied by the grade school bully (Zac!). Aaron, stand up for yourself man! There ain't enough money & fame that would ever amount to my dignity. It's as if you jump everytime Zac tells you to do something. STOP! Other than the fact you need to defend your honor & integrity, your voice decibels are thru the roof! Goodness. Now to Billy..he is my favorite of the 3. He sometimes gets "bossed" around like Aaron does, but no where as bad. I can't stress how much it makes me scratch my head wondering why a man such as Aaron, a big man at that, would ever allow another man to talk to him like he is trash....anyways...yes Billy, if you read these things at all, keep being you, but don't get the point of letting Zac speak to you the way he does A! Someone seriously NEEDS to tell Zac he should treat someone who has stood with him over the years, a LOT better than he does now.
Let me add, this show once was good. Zac use to have better mannerisms. He now thinks he knows EVERYTHING about the spirit world. Yes I understand he has grown knowledge over the years, obviously, but to come off the way he does now is terrible.
Christmas in Louisiana (2019)
I loved it!
I loved this movie. She's beautiful, he's handsome. I thought they had wonderful chemistry. As for the accent not being there, I for one, being born and raised in Alabama, still Iive here, HATE when someone/actors try to talk "country" or have a different accent than they're born with because they sound ridiculous, so I appreciate them using their normal voice. I've watched many movies with people trying to sound southern and I wanted to scream. Ugh! This movie was one of the best this season. Would definitely recommend.
The Christmas Club (2019)
Good not great!
It was a good movie, lacked some things but that happens. If you are going to make a movie with snow, please at least don't insult the viewers by the snow not even "landing" on the people, at least make it more realistic. Having it fake thru the screen only is ridiculous. There are snow machines and other technology that could make these winter scenes a lot better! This ridiculousness happens in 90% of these Christmas/Winter movies. A snow machine would definitely help! As for the movie itself, it was "ok". More and more of these movies are becoming too redundant. Expand a little HM and directors around the world!
A Cheerful Christmas (2019)
OMG! This is NOT a good movie!
I wanted to like this movie, as I usually do all Hallmark movies, but sweet baby Jesus, the lead actress was beyond annoying. (Lord, forgive me). Cheerful is one thing, acting like a 12 year old little girl over Christmas is another. Chad Connell made this movie what it was. He CAN act, is very handsome, and charismatic. The leading lady was annoying, nice looking, but they did not fit together because there was absolutely NO chemistry. Chemistry is one of the main assets when watching a Romantic movie, whether Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc. It's why most of us watch these type of movies, the "feel good" aspect of it. I'd she had toned her over zealous behavior down & showed more chemistry between the two, this could have been a great movie. I hate to be negative about another individual, maybe the director is to blame here, but the leading lady was a miss! Chad Connell was awesome! As someone else mentioned, the tree they picked out at the lot wasn't even close to being the same tree they decorated at his home. Total fail there! This movie had room for quite a bit of improvement. This coming from an avid HM movie watcher.
A Christmas Wish (2019)
Terrible
An absolutely horrible Christmas movie. I'm used to seeing HB play better roles this one was not good at all. Watch it yourself and see what yall think. I WOULDN' recommend it
Christmas at Dollywood (2019)
Was ok
Niall Matter is one of my favorites on Hallmark Channel and he DIDN'T disappoint me in this movie. I generally like Danica Mckellar but she left lacking something that was deeply NEEDED in this movie. Danica seemed like more of a robot repeating lines with no "sex appeal" between the two.
The whole "Christmas at Dollywood" theme was definitely a stretch and lacking. I visit PF/Gatlinburg often as I live in Alabama, but this movie did nothing to show the beauty and awe of the area at Christmas, or any other time for that matter. I love Tennessee, specifically the PF/Gatlinburg area. Short of showing a few scenes of DW, it showed nothing else of the beautiful Christmas lights and shops around the area. I expected to see some of the places I visit, even if only 1 or 2, alas, nothing. That area has some beautiful places and showing them could only have helped the movie. Also, loved seeing Dolly but all of 2 minutes was disappointing as well.
Bottom line for me:
Niall was awesome and made this movie what it was, Danica not so much. Both are beautiful ppl, but this lacked the "chemistry" us avid Hallmark movie watchers have come to expect in these Romantic movies. I didn't hate it, however, I didn't love it. While I realize as a viewer that this isn't real life, we/viewers like to be drawn into the storyline, almost to where we forget it isn't real for the time we sit down to watch it...kinda a warm feeling inside. This definitely could have used a different actress or Danica to not be so complacent in her roles, almost stoic I usually don't write such bad reviews, matter of fact this is probably my first time.
A Very British Christmas (2019)
Pretty darn good Christmas movie!
Great Christmas movie! I must confess this is the first time I've heard of Mark Killeen but man is he ever the actor...handsome and all. (Sorry I had to Google him and I don't watch GOT. Movie is set in a nice setting. The little girl in the movie, who plays his daughter, is absolutely adorable. I would recommend this as a romantic Christmas movie to watch alone or with someone.
Best Christmas Party Ever (2014)
One of my favorites!
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies! I have actually watched it a few times. Great storyline & all around great movie. I'll probably watch it again.
Christmas à la Mode (2019)
Pretty good!
This was a good movie. Actually different storyline among the rest and I appreciated that. Ryan Cooper made the movie great, I must confess. His rugged good looks & pleasant demeanor were a force to he reckoned with. Katie Leclerc was ok in the movie, but they appeared to lack the "chemistry" one usually sees in these types of movies. I've seen better, I've seen worse, but I'd watch it again. The lady who played the "mean" sister, I didn't care for but she fit the storyline so there's that! 8 out of 10!
