Ok there is some historical interest in the programme but, I can't get past how padded out and silly it is. The 'extreme ghost hunters,' a couple of heavily overweight blokes wearing dark military style gear topped with black military style berets. Im ex British army so, yeah - I can't really write the words here I'd use to describe that pair of... tankers.
Anyways. If you're travelling or watching it in a quiet office/work place on a weekend or something - or your heavily interested in the subject matter then yeah, it's tolerable. But, this show stretches credulity to say the least. Only watching it myself because I'm extremely tired but it's too early to go to bed.

My wife had to nag me into agreeing to watch this having actually been to Lerwick in real life - couldn't see it being up to much. Certainly not the first place that springs to mind for the setting of an engaging crime drama!
But it is a fantastic show, bit slow at first and you have to watch with a bit of patience but it's well worth it - great story lines, good casting and strong performances. Only the one complaint as one commentator said, they did use a very similar plot device twice - loads of red herrings then boom, it's this character with backstory that suddenly comes to light and up until then they'd be the last person you'd suspect but there it's, they're the killer. If it wasn't for that I'd have rated it 10/10 but for me, it's forgivable because the rest of it is stellar viewing.
Hoping Mark Bonnar comes back to the series, he was fantastic - even though most episodes his on screen time is less than it would take him to get through airport security to fly up there on a quiet day!
