The Ark (2023)
If Sci-Fi is your thing
The first episode is a bit rough and tries to get a lot done, because the CGI isn't great I think a lot of people judge this series too harshly. For me, at least, the CGI is far from a deal breaker.
Like many SYFY series, this gets better with each episode. It's well acted and unlike many other series that Netflix and the like have attempted (Another life etc), the characters don't make ridiculous decisions simple for plot progressions... or at least that has been my read so far (I've not yet finished the first series).
In summary, if Sci-Fi is your thing ('The 100', 'Eureka' or 'killjoys') you should enjoy this. Just give it a couple of episodes.
Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020)
I wasn't going to write a review...
...But I'm 3 whiskeys deep on a Monday and I thought... Why the hell not. After the first 2/3 episodes I thought this was "pretty good", a light hearted, funny, space crew themed animated series with some good star trek references. then, probably, from epsidoe 5 or so, it becomes excellent. Big fan, don't judge my grammar
Headspace: Guide to Meditation (2021)
Excellent!
I put an episode on during my dinner break and meditate. Works a treat!
Transplant (2020)
Excellent, feel good TV!
Feel good TV done really well. Great character development too.
The Thick of It (2005)
Wonderful
It's brilliant and it's get better as it goes, 3 & 4 are probably my favourite series, of anything, ever. Loved it.
Corporate (2018)
Excellent
Just really fun all the way through. The actors have great delivery.
Avenue 5 (2020)
Wanted to rate it higher...
... to average out all the negative ratings but didn't.
I think people, not unlike myself, were expecting something more slapstick and not as subtle. The set is great, the acting is good and the concept is good. The humor is subtle and Hugh Laurie is excellent at delivering it. I think this has classic written all over it.
Update: episodes 3/4 have been fantastic, it's really getting goi g
Elementary (2012)
A good American cop show - watched it all
They have done what they always do, take a theme/idea and build it into a 20 episode per series cop drama.
This one however is one of the better ones with most of the show centring around Sherlock and Watson's relationship allowing for plenty of character development. It's a good watch and I really like Jonny Lee Miller's take on the character especially in later series.
Also it's nice when a Series gets an end instead of just cancelling it on a cliff hanger.
The Boys (2019)
Great
Even Billy Butchers acent can't riun it!! After being fed so much super hero content this is a refreshing change.
Overlord (2018)
Brilliantly Fun
Don't expect Schindler's list and this is a lot of fun.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Some amazing, some mediocre
Well worth a watch, never get boring as the various styles and plot lines keep you engaged. Some better than other but I'm glad I watch the series.
