It's hard to do a good spy thriller, especially on an indie budget. I thought this film was very solid. It had a great build-up of tension with a couple of humorous moments spread throughout. There was a decent amount of parts I didn't see coming. I think this is one worth checking out if you are a fan of some classic espionage.

Clever Thriller

I thought the film had some very clever writing and kept my attention throughout. There were definitely some fresh parts of the film that I hadn't seen before and I enjoyed the mixed-use of B&W as well as color. If you are into a thriller with some fun humor on the side then this is definitely one to watch.

Wonderfully Weird
18 May 2020
This film was a really fun and exciting watch. I really didn't know what I was getting into and musicals aren't normally my thing besides some of the classics. But the interesting concept and clever songs kept me watching through the entire film. If you are a fan of the weird and wonderful I would check this film out.

Not What I Expected
18 May 2020
I definitely didn't expect the different twists this film took throughout the story. It starts as a familiar setup that many have seen before but then it goes into some new territory that I found very entertaining. I am not normally into films about making films but I think this one had enough fresh ideas that kept me hooked throughout. It is definitely worth the watch especially if you are a fan of indie films.

LA All Day
4 May 2020
I love the combination of comedy and drama. I mean that's pretty much what life is, right? This film definitely handled it well. I loved the setting and characters as well. I don't care how many times LA is used as the setting for a film. It is such an interesting place with so many different areas and people that some weird stuff is bound to happen. Closure does a really great job of capturing that LA feeling.

Interesting Information
4 May 2020
This is a really well-made documentary with a ton of interesting information about alternative medicine and remedies. I have always been open to alternative ways to heal the body. The best solution can't always just be throwing some big pharma pills down your throat. This film gave me quite a bit of insight into what sort of options are available if the need ever arose.

Tense Thriller
4 May 2020
This was a great tense thriller that gave me some Wicker Man or even Midsommer vibes. I love films that take a closer look at lesser-known traditions and put a sinister spin on them. It kept me pretty involved throughout the movie.

Not My Normal Go-To

I'm not normally into religious films but this one was very well made. The film told a realistic and heartfelt story in an entertaining way. The acting was pretty solid and the cinematography was eye-catching. Glad I took a chance on this movie.

Exciting Indie
1 May 2020
Definitely felt appropriate watching this film while quarantined in this very strange time, but that is just a little bit of an extra bonus on top of an already exciting film. I enjoyed the dynamic between the brothers and thought the acting was solid. The film was shot really well and definitely helped the indie film feel like a large budget production.

Solid Anthology, Great Comedy
1 May 2020
I wasn't completely sold on the anthology setup at first, but I think it was actually handled very well and added to the film. The comedy was definitely the best part. Pretty rare that an indie film can deliver on the comedic front but this one pulled it off. Lundon Boyd was great! He has some great comedic timing.

Camp and Fun
1 May 2020
I really enjoy films like this. It is the right level of camp and comedy. The horror elements were really well done and I was laughing throughout. If you want a solid film that doesn't take itself too seriously and will keep you entertained definitely check Distiller out.
Moving Journey

I found the story very moving and the acting and writing were really strong. It was very easy to connect with the emotional and physical journey that Hamid goes on. The on-location shooting looked amazing. The film is worth the watch for the visuals alone.

Well Done Story
27 April 2020
I'm not normally interested in this sort of storyline but I thought the subject matter was handled very well and the acting was strong. It is definitely a tough subject to tackle but it was done well and the mixture of suspense and romance held my attention throughout the film.

Mysterious and Thrilling
23 April 2020
This murder mysterious framed with a modern spin of a video blog left me very entertained. The building tension as Matt gets closer to the truth is very well done, and the acting was solid throughout. I thought I had an idea of what the ending was going to be, but I was pleasantly caught off guard. I would definitely recommend this.

Romance In a Dying World
23 April 2020
At first glance, it would appear to be a zombie flick, but it is really more about the relationship between the lead and his past flame. The setting of a post-apocalyptic world is definitely interesting because in reality we would still be dealing with relationship issues when the world falls apart. The film is definitely topical at the moment but I believe it holds up even when our world isn't going through something so similar to the setup of the film. I was thoroughly entertained throughout.

Quirky Character Piece
23 April 2020
I thought the film was a fun quirky story filled with comedic characters. It is an easy watch and a nice break from the overly dramatic films. The shooting style is simple but well-done and the acting is solid. If you are anything like me you should find the film enjoyable and it will leave you in a great mood.

Old-Timey Hollywood
23 April 2020
I LOVE stories set in old-timey Hollywood. Something about them feels so classy but also sort of dangerous. I felt like this film really captured the essence and feel of old tinseltown which is pretty hard to do with an indie film budget. Plus who doesn't love a good noir mystery? I would definitely recommend this to friends.

Wife and I loved it
23 April 2020
My wife and I really loved this film. It reminded us a lot of our relationship and when we first started dating. There were a lot of cute moments, but I also feel like it handled relationships very realistically. It is definitely a great date night movie or even just a great solo feel-good film.

I Enjoyed It
23 April 2020
I really enjoyed this film. I am a sucker for some indie horror and I thought this one delivered. Big Budget horror films always follow the same formula but this film takes a fresh approach to a familiar tale. The true story aspect always gets me a little freaked out. Just gets my mind racing about what is possible. I also appreciated the lighting style and how it left some mystery in what we were experiencing.

Relatable and Entertaining
23 April 2020
It's a setting that has been done many times before, but one of the reasons this film was so enjoyable was the relatability of the characters. We've all go through similar situations, in our lives and they were captured wonderfully in this film. The high points made me super nostalgic, and the low points brought some real emotion. Be right back, I've got to go dig up my high school yearbook.
