Innovation is the highest!
I've always disliked Korean culture, especially Korean movies and TV, but this movie really surprised me.
Sci-fi genres are so consumed these days that it seems impossible to come up with any new ideas (and they're mostly American productions). No matter how people shoot a sci-fi work, it's more or less boring (especially sci-fi TV)...
Under this circumstance, this Korean film actually brought out a lot of new ideas on this subject! It is really invaluable.
The male protagonist, a pair of immortals, the little girl's aunt, a few assistants to the warden... These characters are very well created.
In particular, the two "immortals" are objective, neutral, intelligent, humorous, brave, decisive, and have a high level of business... They are still full of the spirit of capitalism! Isn't this a representation of the American spirit! (Obviously different from those selfish ghosts who only know how to bow down to Trump, but are actually a group of rabble. Their IQ is only worthy of immersing themselves in lies to find the lowest happiness... If you see this, you really become unhappy , please turn to fox, or go to Trump's website specially opened for you, which is dedicated to your happiness and truth).
Fall (2022)
Degeneration
I really can't understand why some people risk their lives so easily. There are even a lot of people who don't hesitate to throw their lives just to play around.
I admit that there are a lot of really great adventures, like Columbus, like Armstrong. But man is not a monkey or a goat, so what's the point of you being able to climb the tallest treetop or the steepest cliff? This is not the direction of human evolution at all, understand!
What have these risk-takers who easily died have contributed to the progress of mankind? Except for one epitaph: the great me, like countless idiots, came here to take risks easily, and like these idiots, lost their lives without accident and meaningless.
Speed (1994)
Time has passed
What did people say about that?
When you haven't tasted a lot, it's honey; when you've tasted a lot, it tastes like plastic.
I'll admit it's an action-movie milestone, but while being innovative, there's a lot of childishness in this movie.
At this point, the film is no match for Die Hard 1, which was a few years earlier than it-even if reviewed with current eyes, Die Hard 1 is still a mature and stable film action movie classic.
Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
not nostalgic nursing homes
Watching this movie is like returning to the nursing home where you worked after a long time. You can see many, many familiar old people, but there are also very few that can't be seen. However, the staff (dinosaurs) have changed several batches and only a handful of old staff are still around. The dean (the film director) has also changed a few times... Speaking of which, it's a little nostalgic to the point of warmth, right? Sadly, people want to see novelty movies, not nostalgic nursing homes.
Most Dangerous Game (2020)
America's screenwriters show their super low IQ again
The hero is so stupid from start to finish... On the contrary, five hunters who are not as stupid as the hero, and all have great experience, die one by one inexplicably... America's screenwriters show their super low IQ again.
Jurassic World (2015)
Only technology leads the world
I didn't watch this series before because I didn't really feel the need to invest in a similar film again.
It's a sweltering heat today, and I don't have the heart to do anything meaningful - like watching a good movie - just when I saw it on the menu...
I just saw half of it now, I can't help it, I must evaluate it!
Technical aspects:
Any other country in the world is still far from the level of the United States, and it is far from being able to produce effects of the same quality... This is, probably, must be the only advantage of the United States that can disdain any other part of the world.
Humanities:
The story and background are very old-fashioned, it's just a direct copy of the previous script.
Characters:
It can be said that there are many characters, wonderful! Let me introduce them. They are: Stupid No. 1, Stupid No. 2, Stupid No. 3, Stupid No. 4, Stupid No. 5... Stupid No. N. All kinds of stupidity and sluggishness. In short, there is an endless stream of idiots coming out of the minds of these American screenwriters.
The only one who is really smart is that dinosaur!
Ps: Some people may say that the male protagonist is not stupid! ? Excuse me, he knows what kind of devil he is dealing with, so what is he going to do with a BB gun?
Interceptor (2022)
fool's party
It turns out that the defense that Russia's 6,000 atomic bombs have to break through is only 20 or 30 anti-missile missiles! Well, double the number, because there is another similar system - although it (also) was easily destroyed by a battle group of only six or seven people!
Moreover, the dozens of "think tanks" in the presidential palace did not contribute even a single idea from beginning to end.
Moreover, those huge missile launchers, which are said to be impossible to find with all the strength of the United States and Russia, are actually deployed in the most conspicuous places.
The most disgusting thing is that the command center, which is said to have only one exit, the room protected by the highest level of security doors, actually has exits up and down! And its reliability is equivalent to the basement door of an ordinary American rural house!
Blah blah blah...
There are so many places to complain. But I actually finished it! After thinking about it for a long time, it should be because the actors and photography are not bad.
To sum it up again: the vast majority of screenwriters in America are really stupid. And they think audiences are stupid enough to make money just by fooling around... Sadly, that's likely to be the case.
Halo (2022)
Stupid and boring - the norm for American screenwriters
The original - which was born out of a game - has a grand and simple aesthetic. It has the most grand view of the universe in human writing to date, and at the same time constructs a very efficient and concise view of society adapted to that situation.
However, what does this series bring us? It's nowhere near even the low-budget Firefly (2002) that was stupidly axed by its producers twenty years ago!
We don't see anything in it that really belongs to the original, just borrowed a few names.
The result is that these stupid American screenwriters, in order to cater to their imaginary stupid crowd (or "excellent market target group"), once again produced such a stupid visual garbage that has basically nothing to do with the original.
Ambulance (2022)
Watch it while you play the game and never delay anything
Although there are the beauty of the heroine, the playfulness of the hero, and the special effects piled up with a lot of money to support the scene, but insisting on watching this movie is like participating in a long meeting full of fools.
Four Rooms (1995)
Affectation
The male protagonist obviously lacks the natural simple and honest temperament that the character needs. So all we can see is that he is very affectation from start to finish.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
The mortal enemy of tyranny is courage
If you want an intuitive experience of what's going on in Ukraine, you just have to watch this movie again. The only difference is that Hitler did not have the atomic bomb to threaten human existence.
Uncharted (2022)
Lively and boring
Lively and boring.
Lively - this is easy to do as long as you are willing to spend money.
Boring - sadly, sitting on a money pile doesn't make a poor mind rich.
Source Code (2011)
Fate is impermanent
This slightly sentimental story tells us that the dead Captain Colter Stevens managed to survive, but the incomparably powerful Nokia failed to do so.
Moonfall (2022)
flies, flies, all over the sky...
It is not easy to find a pair of male and female leading actors who are willing to star at a given price. These two leading actors must meet the following conditions: 1. They have no excessive pursuit of money and script (at the same time). 2. Their racial attributes must match political correctness. 3. They have to be familiar to Chinese audiences too.
Of course, what is even more difficult is that in terms of plot, character design, lines, performances, special effects, etc., the crew can actually eat flies for the audience every minute - finding so many flies really It's not easy! I am more inclined to believe that this huge number of flies was cultivated in their own brains by the group of(Chinese investors, planners, censors)who refused to show up.
Finally, let's talk about effects. That flowing monster might surprise some people...but just watch the movie Bekushiru: 2077 Nihon sakoku (IMDb: tt0970472) and you'll see that this is just another bad plagiarism from the Chinese.
3 Days to Kill (2014)
Very bad genre movie
The structure is very lax.
The crew, or Kevin Costner himself, tried to cram too much into an action movie, and it turned out to be quite a failure. The entire movie is cluttered, and there's nothing in it that's consistently compelling or memorable.
A successful genre movie must first be a genre movie.
Kûkai (2017)
129 minutes of cutscenes
My eyes are full of typical Chinese aesthetics:
Gorgeous, luxurious, uncontrollable grand narrative desire, overwhelmed with conceit, trying every means to attract attention...
as well as......
Disrespect for history, arbitrarily tampering with characters and historical facts (it was originally a very complicated and majestic tragic history, but it was changed into a farce dominated by several warlocks), and actively avoided serious connotations (such as serious historical reflection and political analysis).
This one movie may have a planned appeal to a specific market target group, but upon careful analysis, it has no nutrition in it.
Foundation (2021)
Money is everything?
The original is a magnificent epic masterpiece, it contains strong logic, rich details, twists and turns, charming characters... It was actually transformed into a palace with some space background by these American screenwriters Fight drama! Apparently, they want to do another Game of Thrones (and many others).
Why? Because it sells well. Because something at this level best caters to the average IQ of the widest range of audiences.
Money is everything! ! !
The United States, a country, has risen because of its successful pursuit of money. But it will also fail, and the reason will be the blind pursuit of money.
- This is the core philosophy contained in the original work. If you don't believe me, see: such a good original was written by an American nearly a hundred years ago; and such a bad and vulgar adaptation came after the United States has evolved for nearly a hundred years... I don't think this evolutionary process is It must be all moving forward, except the technical side.
American Siege (2021)
A sigh...
In a certain year, that was a breaking point.
Before that, the name Bruce Willis was a guarantee of quality action movies; after that, the name became a guarantee of a movie's necessarily poor quality.
A sigh...
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Not bad and Lacklustre
The lines and character creation are quite good. It is especially gratifying that we have not seen the creative technique that Hollywood screenwriters are best at, that is, constantly creating idiots. The characters in this movie all have the most basic IQ and survival instincts, which means that they are at least normal people...Come, let us stand up and applaud this group of Hollywood screenwriters!
Other aspects are lacklustre. Under today's technical conditions, this movie is far from the visual shock it should have.
The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Not even a trace of French soul
This "movie" or "four-frame comic" is just an imitation of "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)", and it is just a very clumsy imitation of the film's most superficial meaning.
This gap is difficult to explain with simple sentences from the macro to the micro level. Roughly speaking, this means taking stereotypes as understanding, boring as fun, trivial as delicate, bright as beautiful, etc...
The same template can be applied to unique European countries such as Italy and Spain only by replacing a little stereotype.
We can say that this movie is very American, very German, especially it is unavoidable very British... But it is not French! Here, there is not even a trace of French soul.
Furuhata Ninzaburô (1994)
two fatal flaws
This is the general review of the three seasons of TV series.
The entire series is accompanied by two fatal flaws.
1. Always explain the murderer and everything from the very beginning. So for the rest of the time, the audience would have to wait and see the male number one to reveal the truth through jokes (he is really jokes forever!).
The practice of revealing the answer at the beginning is the first taboo of reasoning works, it reduces the fun and connotation of reasoning works to the greatest extent.
2. Solving the case extremely relies on confession. This is obviously abnormal. (This is also a common problem in Japanese detective works. They always hope and believe that the righteous party can get it and must rely on the active cooperation of the prisoner)
In particular, this simple pattern is repeated in every episode of the TV series. The audience is like playing with bricks whose shapes and construction methods never change, just changing the stickers on the bricks.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
the easiest way to make money
As the background of the story, the film highly restored the scene and atmosphere of the game. I am not saying that it is just a good copy, but it really restores the feeling contained in the original game series 1-5. (I won't play the subsequent games, they are all tacky garbage)
However, once the film reaches the level of portraying characters, what we can see is either stupid people or stupid behavior.
Constantly making idiots (in movies and in reality)... This is probably the only thing most Hollywood screenwriters are good at-it's the easiest way to make money, isn't it?
Don't Look Up (2021)
two shortcomings
As a relatively rigorous documentary, I have to point out two obvious shortcomings with regret: 1. The comet hits the earth. 2. A female American president.
I think neither of these tow things will really happen in the foreseeable future.
Of course, these two shortcomings are not enough to undermine the rigor of such a realistic documentary film.
Idiocracy (2006)
As a prediction, full marks
This is actually a prophetic movie. Moreover, its predictions are very accurate. Well, it will be 2022 soon, and its predictions are obviously getting more and more accurate...Should I laugh or cry?
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Towards the end of mediocrity
More exaggerated pictures, more mediocre thoughts.
The full DCization of Hollywood is really a sad thing-mediocre audience vs mediocre movies, the two will inevitably reach the hopeless end of mediocrity in mutual production...
