Gotta confess when Iran-Contra was news, I was not paying too close attention. From a distance the Reagan cover-up of illegal military operations in Central America was just more of the same. Politics and corruption like peanut butter and jam . . . "you can't have one, you can't have one, without the other" (to the tune of Love & Marriage).
So for me this was a nifty find in the IMDb listings.
Like many Cruise action films, this one should hold your attention pretty well.
Worked for me.

"Wooly Bully" was their bigger hit but, selecting "Little Red Riding Hood" was truly inspired. Beyond that, not too much about Good Girls sound track pushed my buttons. I thought too much of the score was flat-out annoying. "The Glory Of Love" . . . REALLY ???
Tunes more like in Gilligan/Tarantino/Lynch's work would be way more my speed.
With that off my chest . . . Good Girls is a clever and entertaining series. I dig it.
Deluxe cast. Especially great to see Matthew Lillard again, after Twin Peaks. Among all the great new folks in Season Three. Matthew nailed it too.
Eager for Good Girls return but please, less AM Radio.

This is very cool.
A double-edged whammy:
Is this a true story? Did this actually happen? Or is this a clever mockumentary about some wild people and a bad-dream event(s)?
Seems, according to The Gainesville Sun's webpage there is a Rodney Hyden, who had some very bad luck around the campfire.
If there is (or was) 70lbs of coke buried in Culebra . . . only those happy turtles know for sure.
