This episode had me in literal tears for the character Matthew Daly. As soon as it was apparent this character was a vulnerable party (by mental aptitude) it should have been handled quite differently. When procedure is blanketed and followed blindly without experience and common sense-cmon. Matthew was a victim in this sting operation. Anyone could see it, so long as they SAW IT and not simply read it in a file. Mental health, cognitive impairments/decline/development, is entirely far too overlooked in real life and in Hollywood. This was an example of that, but one many need to see. I think everyone can agree that this character shouldn't have ever been wrapped up in this sting. Call his mom. Take him home.
The lawyer is Deon Cole who plays Joe in "Average Joe" and then we have Colman Domingo who plays Victor Strand in "Fear TWD". I knew immediately this show would have me binge watching once Deon Cole's faced popped up. From there, so many more familiar faces! The type of actors/actresses that everyone recognizes, loves, is in everything, but can't recall their names. You know it's gonna be good when the entire cast is JUST THAT. It's a very suspenseful show, interesting enough to keep you wondering, and the cast is (as I've said) simply superb. I almost didn't watch because of how Netflix wrote up the description. So, if anyone at Netflix is reading this... you need to look here on IMDb for a better way to describe the show on your platform. You're welcome! Kiss kiss. (Fix it)
Okay, so... it's taken me MULTIPLE times over MULTIPLE years to get beyond the half way point of S1E1. I definitely had to be in the right headspace for this-meaning, if you're a domestic abuse survivor, SA, MST, anything like that, make sure you're in the right place to get into this. Then, once you are, prepare yourself for addictive binge watching. I haven't been able to divert my eyes or thoughts away from this show. I'm now on S3E3 with zero deviation to anything else. Season 3, so far, seems to be the "movement". Where S1/S2 were mostly story set up. I completely see, now, the hype and awards! Honestly, this BOOK should be a mandatory read for seniors in HS. Especially now. (IYKYK)
Lots of amazing acting! And I mean AMAZING. Elizabeth Moss, loved her in Mad Men, but this... omg. She may very well be one of the best actresses in modern day. (Praise be!)
