Kirmizi Oda is undoubtedly the most special story of Turkish serials. Totally away from cliché scenes and predictable love stories, Kirmizi Oda brings to mind how complex the human being is, but at the same time how simple to understand it, if you have the patience to listen to it. This film is a lesson for everyone, bringing every series of social themes that touch us all, getting deep into the skin, making you think how some events, some scenes, some moments of the past are never forgotten. It is exactly the past that makes us what we are, with our problems, worries, regrets. In a way, we are always held hostage to the past. Kirmizi Oda also teaches us how not to prejudice anyone and how behind every absurd action that someone can do, there is always something hidden or someone who forced him to do that action. Also, Kirmizi Oda is a lesson for love. We come to this world with the only weapon we have, love, so all we have left is to love because if we want to change the past and escape from it, we can only do it by loving.
I can start this review first of all by saying that this is one of the best tv show (turkish and not only) ever.
EK is a series full of colors that in 51 series expresses the dimensions of life in the most complete and realistic way possible, without ever becoming tedious for the viewer. On the contrary, the dynamism of the events, together with the extraordinary humor with which the script was written, make this series extraordinary, attractive, entertaining and at the same time real.
I would also like to mention the spirit of tv show: the acting of the actors, the cast. If the option allowed me to put more stars than 10, I would definitely put them. The cast of actors is extraordinary and the way the actors interpret their characters looks so real and natural and you often can forget that we are watching a series. It seems so real. The person who selected the cast has done a fantastic job, but those who have written the text have also done a fantastic job, as the series is full of special characters that I believe will be remembered for a long time by everyone.
Can and Sanem. A pair uncomparable to any other pair in other tv showes. Can Yaman and Demet Özdemir have such a real chemistry between them that it makes this tv show even more real. Can, a handsome photographer, with a successful career returns to Istanbul to run the marketing agency Fikri Harika, falls in love with Sanem, a unique early bird, natural, tireless dreamer, aspiring to become a writer.
Their love is real, fresh, romantic, colorful, lively, complete with endless doses of humor. The way Can treats Sanam, his looks, his touches, his hugs, his care is so real that it goes beyond the script and looks like a real chemistry and improvised by real feelings. Sanem on the other hand is comical, natural, extraordinary, with an extraordinary love and devotion to Can.
As they go through various difficulties, sometimes comical ones that will make you laugh endlessly and other times endlessly crying (series 40 remains for me one of the most beautiful series I've ever seen in a movie and I felt in my heart each minute of this serie 40), Can and Sanem are surrounded by other characters who complete the series with their relationships.
Mevkibe and Nehat, the parents of Sanam, characterize what is called the traditional family. The relationship that Mevkibe and Nihat have with each other is so real and not at all artificial and any of us can find in them the image of our parents. The care that Mevkibe has for her girls is the care and concern of a real mother, so each of us finds in her the figure of a mother. On the other hand, Nihat is the true image of a father. His concern, but also the emotions when he learns that Sanem started to date Can are so real, the concern if his daughter had found the man who would help her in every storm, the emotions when he realizes that his daughter had grown up and was not a child anymore, are the emotions of every father. I saw in him my father.
Cey Cey, the funniest character in the series, but also one of the most special characters I've ever seen on a TV show. His friendship with Sanem, his special character, his relationship with other characters like Deren, Güliz, Zebrecet is fantastic. I guarantee you that with Cey Cey you will laugh endlessly in every series.
Erkenci Kus is a turkish TV show that will make you escape from reality and stay in reality at the same time. It is fantastic, extremely realized, perhaps much more than the American series, dynamic, lively, not at all tedious, fresh. A TV SHOW that will make you watch it over and over again.
I absolutely recommend it. Sure you will not regret it. (I watched it twice and loved it as the first time. Sure I'll watch over and over again).
