I wanted to love this film but I could just not get into it at all, to the extent that I turned it off mid way through (which is rare I can count on one hand how many times I've not been able to finish watching a movie before).

I am not sure if the actors or the storey but something just did not gel for me unfortunately. It felt like a slow repeat of something I have watched before (I just wish I could remember what). Very slow and predictable and I didn't feel like the main characters had any chemistry. Something was just off about this movie - I personally wouldn't recommend. So disappointed.

As someone who loved the original movie I initially found this really hard to watch as I was constantly comparing the characters to that of the movie.

After a few episodes I was about to stop comparing since in my opinion it's not a remake it's a new series entirely with "similarities". The characters have different names etc. The character I really struggled with at first was Lucian. Even after accepting that it was not a remake I could not warm to his character at all. However, by the last episode he became my favourite.

My advice do not compare - if you do you will be really disappointed. If you can go into it with your eyes open to it being a new show with a sprinkle of similarity then you will enjoy it.

I love a cheesy hallmark Christmas movie. You always know there is going to be a happy ending and that they will always end up together. However, the main characters had zero chemistry which ruined the movie for me :(
