This is not the one from the 80's and it doesn't have to be.
Imo, this is a VERY good take on Ronja tho.
The acting threw me off in the beginning, because I "knew exactly what the characters were like" (meaning: I knew how Ahlstedt, Edwall, Oscarsson and co. Choose to portray them).
But this is not a remake of the old movie. It's a new take on an old book.
Very beautifully filmed, beautiful acting and new portrayals.
The story grabs me, and even if I had a hard time with the added storyline of the soldiers and the village, in the beginning, it all kinda made sense later on and added an extra layer to this beautiful fairytale.
The music was good, even if it wasn't as epic as the first film.
The creatures looks WAAAY better in this and makes it easier to take in for an audience who didn't grow up with the 80's version.
The pace might be a little slow for the youngest audience, even if I appreciate it.
The amount of female soldiers was not accurate to the time period when it's supposed to be from, and I'm a little questioning to how much diversity in skintone and heritage we actually had in Scandinavia back in those days.
BUT this is a fairytale filmed for children of today and in the Sweden they grow up, it's very much diversity in the society. Therefor I don't actually care.
First movie aside, this is a really good and beautiful take on Ronja, and a part of me wishes that they did the same to "Lion Heart Brothers" and even more; "Mio my Mio" .
They are good fairytales, and even if we, who grew up with them, love the old movies so much that we wanna refuse a remake that's not just exactly like the original, they are getting outdated. And if a new generation shall love those fairytales as much as we did, they will NEED that update.
Watch it, but don't compare it to Tage Danielsson's version. Then it's a really good take on the books!!!
A bit more scary and dark at parts, tho, so don't bring the youngest.

This show is so clever!
Filmed like it was a documentary about two, in Sweden, well known comedians who are attempting to make a comedy show.
It goes up and down, between very funny moments, embarrassing moments and darker moments.
It has a lower pace, which leaves space for thinking.
I have watched it through, several times and I always find new things or jokes that I missed the last time.
I just love this show!

I went to see Flash with a big fear that it would destroy my love for DC forever (The Batman almost succeeded).
I was happily surprised that I actually liked it. Based on The Flashpoint (with a lot of changes), which I love as a comic album. Even tho they changed a lot I felt the tune of the comic in it.
Ezra was not as bad as I thought, and I believe that a lot of hate towards his acting, is more about him as a person of camera, which I chose to not think of.
Keaton was very good and I found myself sitting with a nostalgic smile a lot.
The only actor I really didn't like in the casting was Iris. I found her very boring and not very engaging.
In difference of many others, I actually liked the CGI in the running part too.
Script wise: I have to give it a little minus, since it felt that you should already know some of Barry's backstory. It's presented a bit rushed in the movie, and that can definitely create a feeling of being messy.
But I liked it.
It captures my emotions in different directions and I like that every DC movie doesn't have to be pitch black, just because The Dark Knight -trilogy became such a success.
I like it, and I wish this universe would have got more movies!
