I was so excited for this documentary! But as others have mentioned, it really did seem like the focus was on Andrew McCarthy and his feeling about being part of the Brat Pack. Emilio seemed very uncomfortable with the entire interview (I'm surprised he agreed to even be in this and after a few minutes, I wasn't shocked that his screen time was very short). Jon and Ally seemed like the only ones truly comfortable talking about their years in the 80s. Demi had very short screen time as well.
I was looking forward to seeing Judd Nelson but later learned he declined taking part.
As a plus, it's always nice seeing Rob Lowe! That man can read me the dictionary and I would happily watch/listen him do so!

I've watched this movie several times now. It blows my mind that this did not get more attention when it was released! I never paid any mind to Zac Efron except for being a pretty face or in comedies but he truly showed his acting capabilities in this movie! His emotions as Kevin really broke my heart! He truly conveyed how it's like to lose a sibling in their 20s (like I have). He was phenomenal in showing how it affects life when it comes to a spouse, work, etc.
It angers me to this day that this movie was overlooked in terms of awards. This is a very well done movie and all the actors did an amazing job!

I am not very impressed with this film. I walked in expecting something as dramatic and heart wrenching like "Titanic" but i found myself somewhat....bored. Don't get me wrong, this film was very very very sad, but still, i was expecting a little more from Oliver Stone. The acting, i have to say, was pretty fantastic, especially with Nick Cage. When i first heard about this movie and realized Cage was in it, i thought he would screw it up, but turns out...he did a pretty damn good job. I would just like to say, the scene with "jesus" in it, was kind of dumb. Why do that?? To me, that was just trying to make the movie seem more religious and dramatic when all it did was just stupefy the scene! Overall, and OK movie, not the best. I give it a 5/10
