Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2 (2024)
Really Liked this
I loved this from starr to finish. I can't believe the bad reviews and ratings. I am a big fan of westerns and this is quality from start to finish. The thing to remember is it's part of a longer story, part 1 is all about introducing main characters. The three hours flew by and I'm now really wanting to see episode 2 asap. I really hope all the episodes get made and released as I believe that people will the see the whole peice as a masterpiece. Great cinematography, great acting, brutal scenes that I'm sure are realistic. I have this a 9 out if 10 only because at times the story doesn't quite flow as well as it could do. But loved it.
Cleaning Up (2019)
So bad but I still watched it all?
This was awful. Unbelievable storyline, a terrible cringeable script with some toe curling scenes. The acting seemed really bad as well but I think that was due to some of the awful scenes and script that was so unbelievable it made me laugh and shake my head. But I still watched it all, maybe just to see if it could get any worse, and it did, right up until the end when the ending was wrapped up in such a nonsensical way. Two actors stood out, Robert Emma and Neil Maskell who always delivers in whatever he is in. Watch this for pure comedy value despite it not being a comedy, a few hours you will never get back.
Ripley (2024)
Wonderful
I don't often post reviews but I was compelled to do so as I really can't understand the 1/10 reviews. It seems that some people can't move beyond the book or film. This is beautifully acted, beautifully shot. I found it a real feast for the eyes and mind. I binged watched it in two days which is a shame as I wished I'd made it last longer. At times I wished it would burst into colour as I remember the film which was very colorful and Italy is best served in colour. But the subject also excellently fits black and white. Enjoy and don't be put off by the strange reviews as this is a really nice series.
