This documentary is placed in many different parts of the world and shows you how climate change is affecting the whole world. There is also a lot of conflict in this film which pulls you in and interests you even more. All the people involved in this film feel strongly about this issue which helps you feel strongly about it to. Especially since Leonardo DiCaprio was involved, more people are interested in the film and care about the issue because someone famous is telling them to. Choosing a documentary as the genre of this film was the best choice i think. It helps get the issue across because you realize how big this issue really is, and how real it is. There is a lot of good editing in this film, like voice overs where you can hear Leonardo's powerful voice and also have images in front of you showing the issue. Overall this film was very powerful and educated me a lot on this huge issue.
I believe this film is very accurate to history. Lots of films about history leave out some of the bad things that really did happen. I think the plot of this film was very interesting. There were parts that we're definitely Hollywood dramatic, but they still kept it accurate to history. For the most part the acting was good, but it's also hard to have all good actors when the film has such a huge group of people. The genre they chose for this film was the best option. I don't think the film would be as interesting if they chose a different genre. Overall the film was very interesting and accurate to history.
This film helped me understand what really happened to kids that were taken to residential schools. I also could feel the pain that they felt, it was the first time I was able to put myself in their shoes. I think this film has a very strong message, this film should be shown in high schools across Canada, for history classes. I think the actors did a good job acting even though it was a really hard subject. It probably caused them a lot of pain. The places they chose to shoot the film and the way they edited it made a huge impact on the emotions of the film. This movie is full of sadness, but also has a lot of importance.
