Thoroughly enjoyed this, did not come on my radar until my mom told me to watch it as she'd enjoyed it so much. Watching on a dark cold January morning on my own probably wasn't the most sensible thing to do as the atmosphere and tension that this film builds was scary to say the least! I really loved the acting, it felt so natural and as the pace is slower that other movies of the same genre, it felt like we could get to know the characters a lot better. I am so pleased I found this and hope others enjoy too. The clever mix of paranoia and anxiety built up a truly tense and fearful environment surrounding such a lovely community. Very well executed.
Luther meets Funny Games is the best way I can describe this wonderful adaptation. I didn't know what to expect but seeing Iwan and Sacha in the cast that's all it hook me in. Add in a huge dose of spine chilling tension, hilarious comedic timing and a phenomenal performance by Ukweli Roach and you can't go wrong.
I love twisty thrillers and even more so I love being scared. This had everything I could possibly want. Funny Games is the closest thing I can match this series up to for obvious reasons. I feel that Iwan and Sacha most certainly based or indeed were influenced by this for their performances. Both absolutely relished in their roles and I could not get enough of them in each scene.
Cannot wait for a second series.

Having watched the first two episodes I felt compelled to write a review based on the unnerving atmosphere the series has already created.
Each character has fundamental flaws, making them very realistic but at the same time, u come for able to watch.
What I noticed about the dialogue is that when somewhat seemingly normal conversations are occurring on screen, a characters boundaries are being pushed and pushed past their safety points. Thus creating a very dissonant feeling for the viewer, which to me is fascinating to watch.
As a fan of Stefans earlier work, it is wonderful to see his progression which is fantastically acted by the cast, of course notably Nicola and Sean.
