The Njegosh Mausoleum: The Symbol of Human Dignity (V. Alexander Stefan, 2018)
Njegosh, says Stefan, was a Montenegrin Serb, a champion of the pan Slavic (pan-Slavism) movement in the 19th century Europe, and a liberating humanist.
----------
His wish to be buried on top of Lovchen Mountain attests his deep mystic(al) intuition. It was not the act of his personal vanity. But, even if it was, he would be easily forgiven. It was the act of his deep comprehension of ethnical and human dignity, in general.
-----------
Njegosh knew that the liberating humanism of his Mountain Wreath, (against the Ottomanization of Montenegro) combined with the act of burying his body on top of Lovchen would lift up the spirit of the Serbs (the Yugoslavs) to such heights, so as to be seen by the whole world.
