Kim Seok-hyun is appointed as a presiding judge at the early age of 36. In addition to his stellar career, he has the picture perfect family, with a gorgeous wife and adorable daughter.
His life crumbles, however, when his wife is brutally murdered. Prosecutor Lee Kang-sung, a friend of Seok-hyun's who has had a soft spot for his murdered wife, takes the case into his hands. Jang Soo-young, an ex-convict who has been holding a grudge against Seok-hyun for his ruling in a previous case is arrested as the prime suspect and the case is quickly closed.
Meanwhile, a reporter approaches the grief-stricken judge, and asserts that he is living the parallel life of Han Sang-jun, a judge who lived 30 years ago. According to the theory, the suspect will escape from prison to kill him and his daughter. Seok-hyun is skeptical at first but he becomes more and more convinced as he discovers that significant events in his life coincide with Judge Han Sang-junÂ’s with precisely 30-year intervals.
History suggests that Seok-hyun has only 16 days until he and his daughter meet their tragic death, and he struggles to change the mapped out future. However, someone destroys the case file from 30 years ago, the reporter who had been helping Seok-hyun gets killed, and the suspect escapes from prison on the same day Han's murderer did 30 years ago.
Can Seok-hyun escape the predestined fate of a parallel life?
