On 2 June 2015,The Last Executioner received the Best Film Award and Don Linder received the Best Screenplay Award at Thailand's prestigious Tukata Tong Awards. These awards are the equivalent of the Golden Globes since they are chosen by the Thai and foreign press. They have been given since 1958 and are still considered royal awards. Don was the first non-Thai to win the award.
