It's a hyper-realistic first-person shooter where you'll be facing off against other players in various game modes across several maps. Here, we'll be highlighting some of the best mods you can download for your next Bodycam match.
How to Install Bodycam Mods
The way you go about installing Bodycam mods will vary on the mod you're attempting to install. As they are not fully supported by the development team, you won't be able to find them in the Steam Workshop. Instead, you'll need to rely on Nexus Mods to get them. For example, for the Extreme Bots Difficulty mod, you have to download the files from the Nexus Mods website and then put them into your Steam Library folder.
The fastest way to find it on your machine is by opening up Steam and right-clicking on the Bodycam game in your library. Scroll down to the Manage option, and select Browse Local Files. You'll then have your file explorer open up, showing you the location of all your Bodycam files.
For many, this should be under SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > Bodycam if you're trying to find it manually. You can then drag and drop any of the Nexus Mods you download directly into your Bodycam game, but we do recommend following the instructions listed on the modder's page, as they typically give you the exact location where they have to go.

If you're looking for even more difficulty when facing off against enemy bots, the Extreme Bots Difficulty mod might be one you want to grab, especially if you're not new to Bodycam. With it, the AI of these enemies becomes much more efficient and plays more like real players.
Overall, they put up more of a challenge than the standard bots you face off against if other players have not joined your lobby. It's a good way to keep your skills sharp and not feel like one team is heavily one-sided if they don't have enough players.
Smart Gamma
For anyone who wants quick visual adjustments to deal with darker locations throughout the maps in Bodycam, the Smart Gamma mod can help with this. In real-time, it modifies your game's gamma settings to match what you're seeing, meaning if you enter a darker location, the mod automatically boosts your in-game gamma settings so you can see better in these locations. The same goes for bright areas.
It's a mod designed for those who won't quite click with the visual settings of Bodycam and want a crisper visual look while they play.
Found Footage

You can do this while you're playing using the F1 and F2 keys. If you want to return it to the default settings or return to your saved preference, click F3. It's a quick, easy-to-use mod that gives you more sight while you play.
Ultimate Engine Tweaks
For those who want a cleaner gameplay experience, the Ultimate Engine Tweaks mod could be a worthwhile option for you to check out. The goal of this mod was to remove stutters, improve performance and gameplay stability, decrease input latency, and give you better picture clarity.
It's a worthwhile mod for anyone to try out if they feel that their performance doesn't always feel good while playing Bodycam, even if you've already gone into the menu to adjust the settings as much as possible.
