Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive entry in the Fire Emblem franchise, and takes place in the same timeline as 2019's Fire Emblem: Three Houses, in a realm known as the Dagdan Empire, ruled over by the Gods.
After the land falls into chaos and destruction at the arrival of a Demon God, you'll take on the role of a mysterious being sent forth by the God Sothis in search of four heroes with the power to stand against this darkness, to do so, you'll travel back 5 years to the time of the Heroic Games, and choose the hero you wish to guide forth on their journey to winning the games through strategy and might.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave brings back many familiar features from Three Houses, including the ability to play through different paths focusing on the unfolding stories of Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda, which will converge in the 5 year timeskip similar to that of Three Houses. Other returning features include customizing your character class progression through certifications, choosing how to spend your time before a main mission, growing supports and recruiting new characters, and much more!
