Plug Man
Mega Man 9 Bosses
|
Weapon: | Plug Ball |
Similar To: | Elec Man (MM1), Spark Man (MM3) |
Ah yes, Plug Man. This foe isn't as difficult as he seems. Instead, it's the pesky layout of his lair that makes him truly challenging (this was the case with his cousin from Mega Man 3, too, Spark Man). What's more, his weapon, the Plug Ball, can do devastating damage to Mega Man if he's not careful. Making matters even worse, Plug Man is an aggressive Robot Master, and he'll endlessly try to collide with Mega Man to bring his damage down as far as possible. When combined with the powerful Plug Ball, you might have your hands full with our friend Plug Man.
But keep your wits about you friends, because he's really not all that difficult if you've already defeated Jewel Man and have acquired the Jewel Satellite. Like many other shield weapons in Mega Man games, the Jewel Satellite is both a defensive and offensive weapon, and both aspects of it will shine through during this fight. The Jewel Satellite will damage Plug Man significantly, and the fact that it can be called up and then thrown means you don't have to stay on top of him to damage him. On the other side, however, the Jewel Satellite will also repel the powerful Plug Balls as they careen out of Plug Man and up and around the walls, dropping down on you. So its affect is twofold, and both aspects will ultimately help you win this battle. Be weary of using the Jewel Satellite willy-nilly, however! You have only enough power to use it on Plug Man if every hit strikes him. If you run out of energy for it, switch over to the arm cannon and hope for the best.
