As day turns to night in Sonic Frontiers, you might be lucky enough to witness a beautiful meteor shower as shooting stars rain down for you to collect. These Starfall events serve an actual purpose though!

When Do Starfalls Happen?

Every couple of nights in Sonic Frontiers, a short cutscene will begin where shooting stars will begin streaming across the sky. There is no guarantee that this will occur, nor any way to trigger it, so you'll just have to wait for it to naturally happen.

What Are Starfalls For?

When the shooting stars rain down during a Starfall, run around and collect them (highlighted by the various colored beams shooting into the sky visible in the image above). Each one you collect will allow you to spin a slot machine minigame that begins automatically. You can let it play by itself, or automatically stop each slot by hitting up on the D-Pad or Y on PC. If you manage to hit a prize, you will earn a varying amount of Purple Coins that you can use during the Fishing minigame.

As the Fishing minigame is an excellent way to accumulate a large number of resources that would be time consuming otherwise, it is in your best interest to run around and take full advantage of a Starfall whenever one occurs.
