Summary
Ang Lee will direct the screen adaptation of Yann Martel's acclaimed novel about Pi Patel, the brassy son of a zookeeper from Pondicherry, India. When the family hitches a ride on a freighter, in the process of moving to Canada, there is a shipwreck and Pi is later found adrift in the Pacific on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a Bengal tiger.
