This project uses Jinko ESS energy storage systems for peak shaving and frequency regulation. During peak demand periods, the system supplies power to loads, while during off-peak periods it charges the batteries, improving the economic efficiency and safety of grid operation. The system also participates in grid frequency regulation, leveraging its fast response to enhance frequency regulation performance.

Equipped with a 945 kWh LFP battery, 250 kW PCS including a 250 kW DC-DC converter, 300 kW N-type bifacial PV modules, diesel generators, and an energy management system (EMS), this project demonstrates a successful modern hybrid microgrid solution in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This project is a behind-the-meter PV+ESS project that delivers economic benefits to the customer. It is equipped with 10 SunGiga integrated energy storage units.
