I've been a software engineer professionally for over 15 years. In that time, I've worked in several environments – start-ups, nonprofits, client services, and publicly traded companies.
Academically, I completed an undergraduate program at The University of Texas at Austin not in computer science but in liberal arts. And I recently completed a Masters of Science in Data Science program from Texas Tech University.
This unique breadth of experience affords me the opportunity to approach programming differently from other engineers. I am proud to help find creative solutions outside the thinking that a traditional computer science oriented background might miss.
I am currently based at my home in Chicago. I travel often, domestically and abroad, and I'm currently investing in improving my Japanese skills, having just successfully passed the JLPT N4 exam. My ultimate language acquisition goal for Japanese is to pass at least the JLPT N2.
