Nabil Anane made his ONE debut at just 19 years old, and despite his tender age he has shown that he belongs among Muay Thai elite.
The towering Algerian-Thai was born in Pattaya, Thailand, and started his martial arts journey at age 7 when he trained in karate and taekwondo.
His talents quickly shone through when he began Muay Thai at 11 years old. By 14, he was plying his trade at the talent laden Venum Training Camp under the watchful eye of retired ONE star Mehdi Zatout.
The move saw him rack up wins on the ultra-competitive Bangkok stadium circuit, and in 2022 Anane made history when he became the youngest-ever WBC Muay Thai World Champion at just 17 years old.
The Pattaya native earned his opportunity to impress under the ONE banner in 2023 after he claimed the WBC strap for a second time.
Anane’s unique build makes him a handful for any opponent. Standing 6-foot-4, he towers over most opponents.
But don’t let his physique fool you into thinking that he doesn’t pack power. The youngster’s record is littered with knockout victories, particularly by way of devastating knees and terrorizing long punches. In fact, he used the latter to crush Nico Carrillo at ONE 170 and become the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion.
Anane was scheduled to unify the straps with then-reigning king at . However, the latter failed to make weight for that matchup and was stripped of his World Title, and Anane was ultimately elevated to the undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion.
