A Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion, Samy Sana grew up in Paris. There, the French-Algerian discovered Muay Thai at the age of 12 after being introduced to the sport by a friend, and he has not looked back since.
Armed with exceptional height, reach, and punching power for his weight class, the aggressive Sana has made a name for himself as a true knockout artist, with over a third of his wins coming by way of spectacular finish.
This has led him to a sparkling career spanning more than 140 professional bouts, including two French National Muay Thai Championships, an A1 Middleweight Muay Thai Title, an ISKA Kickboxing World Championship, and a WBC Super Middleweight Muay Thai World Championship.
Sana joined ONE Championship in June 2018, where he faced and defeated some of the best kickboxers in the world. He even made it to the US$1 million 2019 ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Final after overcoming legendary fighters Yodsanklai IWE and Dzhabar Askerov.
Despite losing the Grand Prix to kickboxing GOAT Giorgio Petrosyan, he took the outcome with dignity and continued to face the division’s elite.
After a brief hiatus, Sana returns to the world’s largest martial arts organization to continue his quest for 26 pounds of gold, except this time in the Muay Thai division.
