Stained Glass & Mosaic
Patterns
From Tracy's Studio
Easy, elegant, basic Picture
Frame
for 5x7 inch photo
(or equivalent proportion):
4 border pieces may be of any color/texture glass you choose.
Center rectangle should be clear, preferably non-glare glass, and will
get soldered into place. Tip: It is less expensive to
purchase a 5"x7" frame at your local general store or dollar
store to obtain the necessary cardboard easel back, plus the glass of
the exact size you need is included with it! Otherwise the easel
back alone will generally cost over $2.00 at your local stained glass
supply shop. You will also need to purchase (at stained glass
supply shop) "channeling" - the brass slots/grooves on 3 sides
(left, right, & top) on the back of the frame, which the easel &
photo slide into. The channeling must be soldered on at each of
its four corners. If you don't own snippers, request that the
channeling be snipped down to the appropriate size for you when you
purchase it.
Note:
Black lines of pattern represents approximate thickness to be allotted for solder
lines. Always use pattern to line up cut pieces on before
soldering. Be sure to refer to Tips on
proper use & storage of patterns. Inner frame dimensions are 5
x 7 inches; total outer dimensions are approximately 7 3/8 x 9 3/8
inches. May be oriented horizontally or vertically.
