Armed with the music of the greatest composers, songwriters and performers of the past 300 years, musicians Nico Rhodes and Patrick Courtin set off on a divine quest to redeem the piano and reinstate its reputation as the greatest instrument of ALL TIME!

This show delivers everything from classical piano raptures to bombastic boogie woogie and romantic piano ballads, and even 80s keyboard synth battles. What ensues is a mishmash of theatrical wonder, comedy, audience participation, heartfelt stories, a pinch of history and a world of musical madness.

Enjoy free parking in municipal lots 7, 9, and 10 during Orillia Farmers' Market hours, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shop farm-fresh and homemade goodies before heading out to explore historic Downtown Orillia.

Couchiching Beach Park

This 14.5-acre park is one of Orillia's richest attractions. Explore the waterfront trails, snowshoe and ski across the lake, drop a line below ice to catch some perch, and take in the spectacular views. Check conditions before heading out safely.

 

Scout Valley

2975 Old Barrie Road East

Scout Valley is a 230-acre nature oasis, protected under a conservation easement with the Couchiching Conservancy. The valley offers three loop trails which are dominated by mature deciduous forest. The land is also home to Regan House, the oldest house in Orillia. Before visiting, we encourage you to visit the Couchiching Conservancy website to learn more about the property.

Orillia Opera House

Since its historic opening in 1895, the Orillia Opera House has been a focal point for the cultural life of the City of Orillia. The largest and only professional performing arts venue north of Toronto, the OOH brings big names to the stage year round. 

The Opera House is also home to our Visitor Information Centre.

Leacock Museum National Historic Site

This stately, 19-room historic house was once the summer home and inspiration behind famed literary humourist Stephen Leacock's lifetime love affair with Orillia; a town he immortalized as the mythical 'Mariposa' in his quintessential best-seller, Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town.

J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park

J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park on Lake Couchiching is an active park for ice fishing, fat biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Home to the Mariposa Folk Festival and the famous Golden Leaves statues, a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot, this 65-acre park is a haven for residents and visitors alike, with many amenities.

West Orillia Sports Complex and Rotary Place Arena

Unveiled in 2010, the West Orillia Sports Complex is already well-known for Rotary Place, its popular twin-pad arena. But it's much more than that. The West Orillia Sports Complex includes 27 acres of sports fields, trails, and green space.

Orillia Museum of Art & History

30 Peter Street South

The Orillia Museum of Art & History is located in the historic 1894 Sir Sam Steele Memorial Building in downtown Orillia. This unique art gallery and museum provides significant art and history exhibitions of both regional and national importance.

Orillia Recreation Centre

Orillia's state of the art Recreation Centre includes a variety of amenities and programming accessible to the public. With its Fitness Centre, Aquatics Centre and two FIBA-sized Gymnasiums, there is something for everyone at this impressive facility.

Where can I find parking?

There are many pay and display municipal parking lots in downtown Orillia. You can find a map of available municipal parking lots on our parking webpage at Orillia.ca/parking. Rates range from $1.00 an hour to $1.25 an hour, enforced Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

The Passport Parking app can be used to pay for on-street parking and in the pay and display parking lots.

The cost for metered parking in downtown Orillia is as follows:

Mississaga Street East and West Street North/South: $3.00 an hour. 
Mississaga Street West and all side streets: $1.75 an hour.
On-street metered parking has a two hour time limit. This is enforced Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Orillia's public transit system runs seven days a week, with the exception of public holidays. Visit orillia.ca/transit for schedules, maps, and rate information.
