Understanding different refrigerator styles
There are a few things to consider when choosing the type of refrigerator you want. For instance, the layout of your kitchen, available space, proximity to walls or surrounding cabinetry and the way you prefer to organize and store fresh and frozen foods.
4-Door French Door Refrigerators
4-door French door refrigerators come equipped for maximum flexibility, with extra doors and easy-to-access external drawers to keep your favorites within reach. And with up to 30 cubic feet of storage space, 4-doors are the ideal option for large families, bulk shoppers or anyone who just loves entertaining.
3-Door French Door Refrigerators
3-door French door refrigerators are among our most popular for their modern look, extra capacity up to 32 cubic feet and premium features like InstaView® and Door-in-Door®. Fresh food is stored at eye level for easy access and a deep bottom-drawer below holds your frozen items.
Side-by-Side Refrigerators
In a side-by-side refrigerator, the doors extend the entire length with the freezer on the left and the refrigerator on the right, making it easy to take stock of, organize and access your items. Some of these also come with the same features as our French door refrigerators, such as InstaView® and Door-in-Door® for added convenience.
Bottom Freezer Refrigerators
Bottom freezers place the refrigerator compartment at eye level, making it easy for your family to grab their favorites. The bottom drawer stores your frozen items, and gives you overhead view of what you have in stock. Top Freezer Refrigerators

How to measure for a new refrigerator
It’s important to know where your fridge will fit and how you want it brought into your home. Taking accurate measurements for both delivery and installation before you order will save you time and energy—and potentially a headache.
Height
Measure for the height in multiple spots to account for uneven floors.
Subtract 1 inch from the smallest measurement to ensure appropriate ventilation.
Width
Measure for the width in multiple spots to ensure you’re accounting for baseboards, trim and warped walls.
This time, subtract 2 inches from the smallest measurement.
Depth
Make sure there’s enough space in front of your refrigerator for the doors to open without impact and for people to pass by.
After measuring, subtract 1 inch from the smallest side for ventilation needs.
