Sediment runoff is one of the biggest threats to the Great Barrier Reef’s water quality, and we’re helping tackle it head-on. Through the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Roads to Reef Initiative, our road and water engineers, resilience advisors and geospatial analysts came together to address this threat. Together they:  🪸 Modelled how much fine sediment from Queensland’s entire unsealed road network drains into the Reef’s lagoon, and proved it’s a significant contributor. 🪸 Designed a framework to test future interventions, including nature-based solutions, to reduce sediment runoff and help local governments and road authorities secure funding. We’re extending our partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation for another four years in pursuit of a more resilient Reef, and a better world. Read more: https://acm.to/Xa6N
