Some people dream of making the cover of Time Magazine as Person of the Year. As an IP lawyer, I've achieved the next best thing -- the front page of AIPLA.org. Big thanks to the one and only Daniel Brownstone who spotted it before I did -- turns out I don't Google my name and "AIPLA" as often as some of you suspect! Not sure my face screams "Join American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)" but I'm honored to represent this amazing community that has been such a big part of my career for over 25 years.

Meet our AIPLA Women in IP Law Committee Chair Michelle Fabry, Esq.! Michelle leads with vision and heart, championing connection, mentorship, and growth across the IP community. Get to know Michelle— 🔸 What inspired your path into IP: As a freshman biochemistry major, I attended a seminar where my professor discussed career paths in chemistry and shared his experience obtaining a patent, which instantly sparked my passion for the intersection of science, innovation, and law—from that moment, I knew patent law was my calling and the only career I wanted to pursue. 🔹 Go-to coffee order: BLACK—and sometimes with an extra shot of espresso (or 2!). 🔸Favorite way to recharge outside of work: Taking a hike with my husband and 4-year old son.   🔹One word that describes your leadership style: Collaborative. We’re grateful for her dedication and leadership as we continue to advance women in the profession and strengthen our community.

Congratulations to Knobbe Martens’ Kylie Snow, who was honored with the Past Presidents Award at the recent American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Annual Meeting.
